Re: Plant Pot Owl
Thanks WS. It may be down for good or possibly just not streaming at the moment for some reason. I thought we would have another couple of weeks of the owlets still being around but maybe they have now been chased off by their parents.

Re: Plant Pot Owl
Thanks for finding that WS, at least we all know they fledged well and as they say in the post, they will be making their mark on the world.
It has been fascinating watching them and I will miss them but I wish Merlin and Timka a long and happy life.

Brilliant that PPO is back, love this cam and I love the way these birds come back to nest in the same place.
Lovely video WS but I couldn't see if she had eggs or owlets?

Not sure yet LW, but I'm checking, just found this out
PPO HAS LAID 2 EGGS!
The Potted Plant Owl laid her 2nd egg on September 5th. There may be another egg to come in the next few days or so. After that the appoximate date of the first hatching will be September 30th. Stay Tuned for EGG WATCH!

Re: Plant Pot Owl
I had a quick look in on her this morning an she was ok but I didnt have time to post, I will try and check her again in the morning.
I ctually read how she ended up in the plant pot after her and her mate lost their habitat to developers, they started a petition last year to stop further developement, I am not sure if the petition is still running but I will check it out, in fact I will look right now .
Guys the petition is still active and I have just signed it. Here is the link to PPO's story and if you then scroll down it takes you to the click box for the petition. They are after 30.000 signatures and it said it had 29,229, so I should have made it 29,230.

PPO is in her pot and awake and looking around at the moment.

Re: Plant Pot Owl
Thanks LW, petition signed, I was No. 29,237 to sign.
What an interessting story how she ended up in the plant pot ! Shame it had to come to that though, developers are ruining a lot of animals habitats
Just checked the link and she looks like she's now, she is facing away from the camera
