Good news about one Leopard Ronnie, it's a shame thre's no more on ours. Does anyone know where Kichwa Airstrip is, I can't see it on that Map. I can see that Kichwa Mumba
Airstrip is close to Little Goveners, but that seems a bit far away from the Triangle. The reason I ask is I wanted to see if there are anymore camps close by that are not actualy in the trianlge that she might have gone into. Strange they did'nt hear any news of a Leopard losing a Cub. I wonder where the person who put the video on stayed, perhaps if we found that out we might be able to get some more info

WS, does the Il Moran camp show up on that map at all?

This photo was taken near Il Moran, I think the leopard further back is smaller than the one in the foreground, face looks younger too

Just had a look AM, and I cant see it, although I dont know the area, having never been there, the bottom of the Map finishes just below Rekero, and doesnt show the whole of the Mara Triangle, so I'm guessing the the Camp is below the bottom of the map

Just got my map out. Il Moran is a camp by Musiara Marsh, closest neighbouring camp is Governor's Camp below it and on the same side of the river. Distance is about 2 kms.

Also if you go back a page on this thread Ronnie posted a link to a map Simon King posted on the area. It's got all the camps etc.

Just spotted Governers, if its that close it may be worth asking Governers if they have seen or heard anything of our Leopard, what do you think

Ronnie, fantastic work on trying to track her down and you too WS. This really does seemed to have turned into a mystery. Hopefully she still has both cubs.

I don't see how it could hurt to ask around. There's got to be somebody that would recognize this leopard. Looking at the map really shows how far the Big Cat crews went every day when filming. I never realized how far outside the reserve Leopard Gorge and Fig Tree Ridge are. I think that looking again at the info AM got from the poster the area we are looking at is the right area. The original post says from Kichwa Tembo. The airstrip, river and camp are all right there. What we need is to ask some guides. They are going to be the ones most familiar with the animals. I would imagine the guides from Governor's would be familiar with the area. Another thing I was thinking is, particularly, a mother with cubs is not going to be tolerant of other leopards anywhere close, so the likelihood of any others being around is pretty low. I think she's just playing hard to get!

That's a good idea WS. I'm starting to run low on ideas at this point. Who would have thought trying to ID a leopard from thousands of miles away would be this hard! Lol! We'll figure it out I'm sure.

Fingers X Ronnie. I posted as Wild About Animals, not as my self, and asked if the ask their Guides. So hopefully one of them will know her. Feel free to check their page if you want, and post if there's any more news, as I'm working tomorrow, and Sunday so I wont be on in the daytime although I'll check first thing in the morning here.

That's great news WS. I'm working tomorrow as well but I look in from time to time on the phone when nobody's looking! When I saw your post i had to sneak to the computer and reply! We just might be about to solve this riddle! I'll check their page shortly, and if anything pops up before I go to bed here I'll update you. I forget about the time difference sometimes then see you guys posting at 3 or 4 am here and remember we're 4 hours behind you over here. It works out good sometimes. As you said, fingers crossed.

Ronnie

Ha! Mine is not nearly all gone but it is sliding down the back of my head! I tried to find your post on their FB page but the only posts I see are from them. Nothing from anyone else. I am looking at the Governors Camp Collection page, but only see their pics. I'll look back tomorrow when I get home from work. I just hope they can help us. I've gotten very interested in solving this mystery. Or should I say, Siri!

I suppose it will take time to show it to the Guides, as they may be busy with guests. There was a message on Aatish's blog as well.
