Re: Meet WS's Birds
Your going to need a wide angle lens for that PPH A tip if your taking scenery, put the Dial on the top of the Camera to SR Auto, its a scene recognition system, and automaticly does the sttings, hope you have a nice day

Re: Meet WS's Birds
I apologise that I am going to show my pics on here but they were taken with the same camera WS uses.
These are the only two pics I managed to get of birds while walking near Uffington White Horse. They were taken on max zoom but I think they have come out well. I did try to get some of a lovely bullfinch but he would stay still long enough and apparently telling it to 'stay still you silly bu**er' doesn't work on birds, or so my partner told me

Re: Meet WS's Birds
Thats no problem PPH, I wanted to see them so thats great. At max zoom those are really good, its difficult to hold a camera still enough at max zoom so you've done really well there.

Re: Meet WS's Birds
Thanks
I'm not the best photographer but the camera really makes it easy to take pictures. While walking along the ridgeway path near the white horse the trees both sides were full of bullfinch and goldfinch flying from one side to another singing their heart out it was amazing.
Most of them were to fast for me but managed to catch one sitting still for long enough. Going to use the multi picture facility next

Loving the pics WS and PPH. You can take as many pictures as you like of the same bird and each one will be different and a pleasure to look at.
I love the goldfinches red face and one of the cubs I used to have called greenfinches Hulks, wonder why?
