Bird Scopes

I'm thinking of getting myself a scope so that I can really have a good look out at sea, and get views of more of the seabirds where we live, but there are so many different configurations of len's, and eye pieces, just wondered if anyone had, any experience of them

Pete gave me a scope a couple of years ago WS. I will check it out and get back to you with details as there are no doubt many many options available.

Mine is quite big and chunky so I don't take it with me when on holiday - I am guessing a smaller more portable one would be a good idea.

Thanks Lia, I dont mind it being big, and chunky to much, as I will be taking it in the car with a tripod just down to the coast mainly. The important thing for me is the field of view is reasonably large, and will it zoom without losing all the light.

Mine's called a Revelation and I think is the below WS. It's got a good range and I use it on a tripod.

It might not be that model WS - I can't find my instruction booklet that came with it, but it's definitely a Revelation and from www.telescopehouse.com
