For sure WS. I absolutely love Africa, I always feel like I am coming home, but we need to visit another country occasionally! I've a portable hard drive and download at the end of every day, so many zillions of photos will be taken

Rwanda would be brilliant Doogs. Pete wants to go, I think I need to be fit to climb those mountains!
We're also going to Shetland with SK in June 2013 probably with quite a few of the people who were in Dorset so it should be wonderful. There's so much to see in the UK and I am really looking forward to it with the puffins and whales and much more I am sure.

I'm a tad that I've already planned 2013 - i've always had the wanderlust and can't stay at home for long, my feet get itchy and I have to get on a plane and go. No wise cracks WS

Doogs. Had a long :phone: with Ali last night, talking about our plans for 2013 - she reckons I'll hardly be at home in 2013 Mind you she's certainly up for Namibia with J & A if they go ahead with it.

Doogs thank you so much for the nudges what stunning photo's, Bahati is such a beautiful Leopard and it was lovely to see Shingo and her cubs and I love the way Andy wrotes his Blog.
I love the way he blured the photo of the Wildies and made it monochrome as well, as you say Lai, such a talent.
Really enjoyed catching up.

Re: Andy Rouse - Wildlife Photographer
Doogs Only one word to describe Andy's photos SUPERB. They are just brilliant, and really have the factor. He's not only a great phtographer, but a true animal lover, you can tell from his comment, that sometimes it's time to put the camera down, and just enjoy one of the most beautiful animals in the world. I was going to use one as my screensaver, but :What:
I've saved his Blog to my favourites so I can catch up on the rest of his updates

Doogs briliiant brilliant photos, yet another screensaver change. Good use of a slower shutter speed to create movement, and I loved the last one flat in the grass

At this rate Andy is providing enough good photos to change your screen saver every day for a month !!!
I saw on FB yesterday that he's been taking some wonderful Cheetah shots but as yet they are not up on his blog. I'm sure they will be well worth looking at

Re: Andy Rouse - Wildlife Photographer
From Andy via FB:-
Hello All, well I am back in the office this morning and first job has been to start cataloging the Mara stuff. Before that though a few words about the past 6 weeks in the UK. The Olympics were fantastic no doubt and I loved every minute. But coming back on Friday to see the Paralympics, and witnessing the incredible closing ceremony last night, really gave me an incredible sense of pride. I have never watched the paralympics before, and that is to my shame, as it was truly incredible. It makes me humble to see how all these incredible athletes achieve so much, and prove to us all that if you want something bad enough then you can get it. Certainly at Rio I will not miss a single minute of the Paralympics, it really struck a chord with me. I'm very proud to be British right now. Anyway I wondered what your favourite memories were from the past few weeks and if the Paralympics struck the same kind of chord with you, for me I feel totally inspired......
