It's melting and the roads are all slushy as are the pavements hope you are all okay and getting better weather.

Doogs have a great time and hope you enjoy the 'quarry dance' should be a fun night out.

Anne-Marie apologies i meant to post saying you were manic at work once i picked up your message, but you beat me to it so it's great to have you back again.

Strictly tonight and we're off to friends for a meal and to watch it - should be a fun time as long as we can get up their drive which was impossible 2 days ago. I've heard that Craig and Ann are going to dance together on the live tour Littlewid - now that would be worth watching I think it will be Gavin being voted off this week, although I did say that last week.

Have a good day whatever you are all up to - I think I should write some Christmas cards soon but most years I never get around to it I think a latte and cake might help

Afternoon All We had mega wind and rain overnight and all our snow has gone too now Lai as well. The ring was very dodgy forst thing this morning but another battering of rain just now and its all gone.

Been into town to do the last bits of my pressie shopping and had a nice little stop for a Hot Chocolate and yummy cake

Ooooo that will be funny seeing Craig and Ann dancing Lai, are you going this year? I reckon Gav will be voted off too but I want him to stay......i'm getting a little soft spot for him Hope you have a fun evening and manage to get up the drive ok.

Im still sick. My brilliant Doctor gave me the Flu jab when I had a cold and Im just not shaking it off!

Started ordering christmas presents online (through easyfundraising!) for step daughter and have the Christmas Cards ready to start writing and the Christmas decorations are up. TT is doing dinner today (thank heavens).

Poor you SM - i hope you'll be okay soon, I've never had a flu jab so feel for you, what a shame on top of your cold.

Hope you got the cards done - I'm ready to get mine done this week, tree up and this year we've got one outside with some great flashing lights which we've just put up.

We're off to the MEN arena in Manchester tonight (again) to see the War of the Worlds - should be fun and then will have to catch up on Strictly results when we're back.

OOOO I bet your tree looks lovely Lai I love seeing decorations outside the house, it always adds more christmas sparkle.

I doubt if I will have a tree this year, it would not survive Splodge.....it would be something else that needs killing...she is a monster I may get away with some hanging decorations...if i'm lucky

It's freezing out there tonight and the cars are all iced over and they predict freezing fog for the morning .......looks like I will be wearing my sexy thermals at work again.....it's freezing in my office

Hi everyone!! I still need to buy my Christmas cards. I was going to get some from the Bear Centre with Lily and Hope on but I was worried they wouldn't get here in time for me to write and post them. Always try to support a charity at Christmas :)

It got down to minus 7 over night here. Took my forever to defrost my car this morning. Everywhere is so white!! I'm going to try and brave the cold and take Millie to the lake on my lunch break!! She loves it, and its just so pretty at the minute. Will try and remember to take my camera

The dreaded Lurgy's back again cant stop sneezing, and my heads whizzing again. Thought it had gone , but no suck luck.
Its been freezing here as well AM, lucky for us Mrs S is off on Mondays so we did'nt have to defrost the Car, stayed in bed instead . Sounds as though that will be a nice walk if you make it.
We are trying a Xmas tree this year, it will be the first one since we've had Poppy, and she's Ten now. So its fingers X.

As for the tree, outside is easy, and I am loving are twinkly light we've just bought, inside is not so good with dogs - they seem to knock bits off and I am not sure whether it's intentional or by accident

Hope you enjoyed your walk with Millie Anne-Marie, funny how the dogs all love this weather and we're all shivering and can't wait to get back inside

I confess I've had to get tickets for the Strictly Live tour in February Littlewid, my mum was adamant she wanted to go as Craig is dancing with Ann Widdy, as I've left it so late we've not got brilliants seats but at least she'll enjoy it, we might beed binos to see the dance floor though!

Thermals at work - wish i'd thought of that, my office is like the Arctic and some of the time I had my coat on - how long before spring now?

WS I know that feeling, keep warm and plenty of drinks! I just have a little sniffle now so fingers crossed it is going. I have two appointments for the Doctors (one to get stitches out, yuck!) this week so it doesnt rain but it pours.

We are having problems again with our computers in work and its a real pain. Thing is Im a Secretary NOT an IT consultants, but they still expect me to sort it out. Still not receiving emails so someone else can sort that out.

We were at -9 this morning, bitterly cold but the frost on the trees and the fields on the way to work this morning was absolutely beautiful. Hope you are all ok and the weather is not cause you too much grief.

Its a pain SM. My connection went down today just got on, and before I could post anything I lost the connection. It did'nt come back till 9-00pm this evening, and there's nothing you can do to fix it.
The waethers not to bad here, I think we've got away quite lightly upto now, after the first lot, so fingers X it will stay that way. Hope you feel better soon SM, and the stitches go OK

Hi all

so sorry to hear about the colds and flu - i hope you are all feeling better and keeping warm.

WS - you always manage to make me laugh with your jokes.

LW - i don't blame you for not putting up a tree this year, i did put my tree up as it didn't feel right without one when i had Mr T, Lily and Izzy were kittens and i ended up buying a new one the following year as they wrecked it, it also didn't help that Patrick and Percy reverted to kittenhood and joined in the tree climbing. it was a nightmare but they had a load of fun

Was thrilled with the cricket result all i hear on the news is how can the aussies win the ashes series - they are in absolute turmoil and i am loving it Shame about Broady being out injured though, he is a great player, i didn't watch the cricket much as i was sleeping after my night shifts. But being a test up is the best feeling, to win the ashes over here would be fantastic.

I hope you are all taking care in the snow over there, i don't know if it has been on the news but we have had so much rain, there are floods all over the place, so i've spent most of my time attending traffic accidents, most of them are just people driving too fast in the wet conditions. Still it is good for the garden

Just catching up here, am off today and tomorrow and back at work on afternoons on saturday, am still loving my new job, am still learning and have loads to learn but i can help but beat myself up when i make mistakes on the paperwork (boy is there a load of it) and it ends up back in my correspondence locker with notes from a Sgt on it, i tend to be hard on myself about getting things wrong but really in perspective it's how to learn isn't it and i'm not mucking up when dealing with the public which would be terrible - paperwork can be fixed up dead easy - i'm just a perfectionist!!

Christmas is fast approaching, i bought my frozen free range turkey today. I will be working from 7pm-11pm on xmas day so i intend to cook a lovely lunch and then in the evening the girls can go off with the boyfriends etc and i will head to work. Nakeeta is yet to tell me what she wants so i think we are going shopping tomorrow as i need to get organised.

Am going to catch up on here.

Glad your still enjoying the job TTM. Paperwork is a right pain isn't it but needs to be done but it's never the most enjoyable part of a job is it. It's the same in our job, everything has to be recorded to the minutest detail
At least you will have the best part of Christmas day at home with the girls, thats nice isn't it, lets hope the punters don't give you too much trouble between 7 - 11.

Sounds as if the weather is bad all over, we have the snow and you have the rain but as you say at least it's good for the gardens. We had loads of snow last year and then all sorts of flowers that hadn't been up for ages sprang up in the spring, the snow brought them alive, so I am wondering what delights we will have this spring from all the snow, I do know that the gardens are looking very green from all the snow, it does do the gardens good as well as the rain.

Oh i've just seen on the news the demonstrations at the houses of Parliament about the student grants. One of my Consultants was going there today for a meeting, I am just hoping he didn't get caught up in it all and I hear that Charles and Camilla got caught up in it all and a Policeman got pulled off his horse and trampled. It's all rather scary and must have been horrible to have been there. Sorry I just saw it and it's all a bit of a mess.

Back to brighter things did you get all your cards written Lai? I'm always doing my cards last minute, I always get them early just never get roud to doing them until I have to get them in before it's too late for the post. I must try and do them this weekend.

Mmmm I know the cats love the christmas trees TTM but i'm worried Splodge will try and kill it whilst the lights are on and frazzled cat is not a good look for them, so i'm deffo treeless this year but I have something esle that will keep me more amused than a tree but will tell more at the weekend or tomorrow.

They have just mentioned the floods on our news TTM, some areas have been declared a disaster zone and some people have sadly died. You take care out there my friend.

I used to hate paperwork to when I was a Manager. I found out in the end that the worst thing to do was to put it off, it always ended up like a mountain. Not enjoyable at all. We certainly gave the Aussies a bashing for a change Minty, really enjoyed it. I was listening to the start each night here at just after 12 am, then the end of days play about 6 am. Hope you go on OK over Xmas, at least you have some time at Home.
As LW said about the Riots here over Student Fees, the scenes have been really bad, some people have gone with the only intention of causing trouble, and nothing else. The Royal Car was targeted, but both Charles, and Camilla are OK, plus thet attacked shoppers, and shops in the West End.

Missed the news but sounds like it was pretty scary with the riots, i always feel so sorry for the police horses.

Hello everyone, busy here at the moment!

Im not supposed to be online in work anymore but Im bored. Still in other quiet moments Im printing our new AF Quiz Sheet and distributing to those requesting them and shame on me I did not get my cards written after all so quess what I will be doing this weekend.

Ordered StepDaughter TV and only was informed AFTER the order was confirmed that it will take upto 5 weeks to arrive! When is Christmas again?

Birdfeeder is going well and will have to get more pictures up.

Hope the floods are not affecting you Minty and everyone is now over the worst of the effects of the snow.

I'm having a quick visit this afternoon as I have done my food shopping this morning and I am now going to do my housework, as this evening I am off to pick up this little fellow, he is seriously nero's Christmas present as he has been missing Bentley so much, I wanted to cheer him up and get the spring back in his paws.
Say Hello to Buck, or Buckminster to give him his full title......chosen by Lara as he is also going to be her special little friend after her dog ordeal.More on Buck tomorrow.
