Re: Planet Earth Live
Just watched it Doogs, I meant to go back and have a look but forgot the brain must be getting old.
That was brilliant and how funny when they rang away from danger that was on the TV screen it was lovely to see them all gathering and watching, shows how intelligent they are but how fab must it have been to have them right at your hotel room, just fantastic I reckon

Re: Planet Earth Live
I am so disappointed Planet Earth has finished. Have loved watching it and its made me miss the Mara so much more. Lovely to see at the end of last night, a marsh pride lioness with cubs. Did anyone get a look at the lioness? I was so hoping and praying it was White Eye will have another watch this evening.
The baby eles stole my heart (no surprise there) as did little Ernesto, what a fighter! Love the bears, but so sad to hear about Jo (I'd read about it the day before) was shocked at the statistic of 80% bears killed by hunters
Lets hope they do a follow up!!

Re: Planet Earth Live
I can't believe it's all over and I must admit that at the end when they did a little recap by showing all the animals they had followed I was shedding a few tears. They had made so many animals a part of our lives for the last three weeks that it was hard knowing that was it ( I know, i'm a weepy nutter). Richard gave such a positive stance on their futures to send us off happy but it was still sad knowing that was it.
I have absolutely loved it all and I think that whatever has been said at the beginning, it was a fantastic success in my eyes and I really hope they do that again and with the same presenters.
Just going to watch your clip of the highlights Lai......no doubt have another weep as well

Oh my lord, that was the bit that got me going last night Ernesto, Gremlin, the baby Grey Whale made my heart stop and Moja & Nyota I am sure will be fine but I still said a little prayer for them last night and to end with them in that shot was quite emotional......ooooo i'm going to start again now

Re: Planet Earth Live
We get our last show tonight. I have to admit, after originally being a little underwhelmed I really hate to see this end. I guess no one can get enough of Notch so here is what we saw here in the states.

Re: Planet Earth Live
Thats exactly as we saw it Ronnie but boy it was good to see it again. I do hate pride takeovers as they are so brutal and I dislike that bit of nature even though I do understand why it's done. However it was so good to see that clip again and to see Notch and his boys, he really is such a super Lion.
Thanks so much for that Ronnie and enjoy the show tonight, it is really good but sad to know thats it. Let us know what you think of it.

Re: Planet Earth Live
Soooooo disappointed this series is now finished, really going to miss the weekly dose of Nyota, Moja, Gremlin, Little Richard, Dali, the Meerkats, the Bears etc etc etc the list goes on.
I was particularly interested in the fact that the have started crossing into the Mara, that's good news for us for a few weeks time and also great news for the cats - food is on it's way :) Just hang on in there Nyota and Moja, a famine is about to become a feast I really hope we can find Nyota and Moja in a few weeks time
I was informed on FB via a friend that The Marsh Pride female who had the cubs is Charm, not White Eye. Great news but unfortunately she appears to have lost some and has now only got one cub left

Re: Planet Earth Live
That's a shame Doogs, every lion cub is so precious.
I really hope you get to see Nyota and Moja, that would be such fun, we'll all be with envy .

Re: Planet Earth Live
Wow, that Blog entry really does bring back that awful scene of those baby eles being swept away in that river but also reminds us of the wonderful ending. I was on the edge of my seat watching that so imagine how it must have been for warren being there.
Thanks for the link Doogs.

Re: Planet Earth Live
Via Mara Predator Project on FB :-
If you saw BBC Planet Earth Live you may have seen some of the Acacia Pride. We know this group as the Cheli and Peacock Pride, and you can read more about them here:
