It's OK LW you post what you've found out, and I will as well then we can confirm what we've both found

I'll wait for you to post what you found first LW. I thought there was a link between the Mother of the Cubs Irina, and Helsinki Zoo, but now I think she's from Nordens Ark Zoo Sweden. In the meantime I've found an International Pedigree Book for Snow Leopards Vol 9. It's a PDF File Download, around 180 pages I've only had a quick look, but there's a load of info to look at.

Re: Amur Leopard
WS, go ahead and post what you have. I was going to post mine this evening but it is now in the bin, I only really have to say the word "Splodge", followed by, "chewed & Ripped". Thankfully it was only the paper with my hard work on as I came in from walking Nero to find my mouse on the floor with my notebook just about resting on the table and my mobile under the sofa, Tiga was asleep in his bed and Splodge was caught with the evidence. So I have to start again. So please go ahead WS and I will try and sort mine out again tomorrow or Tuesday.
Thanks for the link for the Snow Leopards Pedigree list. I did find a list for Leopards I have a hunch it was a stud book but I now need to source that again as I came across it by accident the other night.
I do love Splodge but sometimes she does test it

Oh Splodge
I think with all of our pets they can do things that make us shake our heads...but only for the briefest moments. Their antics are a part of their personality which makes us love them.
Lawyer Lai, are you ready to take on your first case? Yes, Splodge was found with the evidence, but perhaps this isn't so open and shut?
"Tiga was asleep in his bed" - pretending I bet!

I most surely am GR. Splodge is 100% innocent, how could you think otherwise? He was trying to hide the evidence to cover for his friend (who shall not be named just now). There is more to this than meets the eye

Love your post!
You could have your own show: something like Mrs Kipia's Cat Cases.
You really know your stuff too, not mentioning Splodges friend just now due to legal reasons

I hereby declare Splodge innocent!!! Littlewid, while you were out, your window must have opened, and the wind has blown your stuff down from the table. It is not Splodge's fault if the notebook just happened to hit Splodge's paws.
Case closed!

Mrs Kipia, if we are going to speak lawyerish than I'm really going to need more cookies!
Noooo on the Lewis retiring! But at least we have a more than handy replacement waiting in the wings
CC, you may have hit the nail on the head with your expert analysis! Let's all blame the fragile window
And let's not forget about that crafty Nero either. Just happened to be out walking when the crime 'apparently' took place. I declare this all an act of DOG!

Re: Amur Leopard
WS, I found also the Pedigree book from 2008. You know, Erik Blomqvist is a Finn, and the snow leopards studbook was kept in Finland until Mr. Blomqvist retired. It's a pity that there are no Pedigree books for years after 2008, at least I could not find any.
Kaia is really beautiful in that picture! When you look at her eyes, you can see that she is Darla's daughter. Toomas has also Darla's eyes; look at this picture I took of him on Sunday when we were visiting his backstage enclosures (it is not very good picture, as I was not prepared to shoot photos from such a short distance :) ):
Toomas was a little surprised to see us, as it is very rare that any visitors are allowed to come there.
The honeymoon with Stina was over, and they were not together any more. The zoo curator told us that Toomas is often a little restless, but when Stina is in heat, Toomas becomes very calm and peaceful. Isn't that funny; I thought it would be the other way round!

Re: Amur Leopard
Kaia and Toomas really do have Darlas eyes Cremecat, it's quite amazing isn't it, they really are a stunning Leopard family. I know you werent prepared to take photo's close up but tht is a lovely photo of Toomas, he has such a beautiful face.
What a shame he and Stina are not together any more and as you say, his behaviour is odd, you would think it would be the other way round really.
Surely there must be Pedigree books after 2008 as I would have thought they would all have been registered, maybe we can all dig a little deeper on that one.
Thanks for sharing Toomas with us Cremecat and I will be back on the case tomorrow for sure.

CC finnishers off cases
It is a lovely picture of Toomas, though it's sad that he and Stina are no longer together, but I guess the main thing is that they got to have their loving times.

Re: Amur Leopard
CC - totally brilliant summing up of the case for the defence. The jury has decided quite rightly that Splodge is 100% guilt free and innocent. An excellent result for our furry friend
A lovely photo CC and Toomas is very handsome - I bet he was surprised to have visitors backstage!
Littlewid the compensation is a big and a that you have to start all over again - What a pain Splodge promises to be good for the whole evening (not that he was being bad)
GR - finnishers, that's a good one

Re: Amur Leopard
It's a rather funny world we live in, where cats can do no wrong! It's like all the juries are pro FURRies And that's just the start of it when you consider all the deserved love on here for the BIG cats
If leopards got into trouble the most we'd ever do is send them to the naughty corner for ten minutes. Time served

Re: Amur Leopard
The eyes certainly have it it CC, you can see the connection, and no matter if you were ready or not its a great shot. I keep researching the stud books, it looks like each Zoo keeps there own, and that the EEP decide who should move where to get the best breeding results, but I'll keep on having a look

Re: Amur Leopard
By the way, take a look at this ALTA's webpage:
http://www.altaconservation.org/get-involved/fundraising/our-fundraisers/
Helsinki Zoo donated 45000 euros last year... and I could give you a tip: when you need some chocolate, buy Fazer if you can find it. The chocolate is delicious, and your money just might go to something good...
The first name on the individual donators list is also Finnish; he must be a good man, being our Niko's namesake.

Thats a nice link Cremecat and good to see one of my near local zoos on there, ZSL.......I may be going there in the summer I have just had a quick look at the link but will look at it again in more detail.
Fazer Chocolate has good reviews but as far as I can see it is not sold in England, Ikea used to sell it I believe but not anymore but you can get it on Amazon......I may just have to give it a go is there a donation to ALTA?

One third of the 45000 was from Fazer. I guess the zoo raises money from Finnish companies for conservation programs. I don't know ecactly how it goes, but this is what I heard of Fazer. And I heard Coca Cola mentioned, too.

Re: Amur Leopard
I would imagine a percentage of the sale goes to ALTA, lots of big companies like to help conservation. At the moment Coca Cola are supporting the Polar Bears which is fantastic.
