Re: Amur Leopard
Great video clip by your friend CC. I've been looking in quite regularly, but that is the most active I've seen the Cubs. Two Girls, and a Boy that's great, and I love the name Jupike very descriptive Darla is really patient with them, I've watched how she looks over them a lot

Great clip, WS!
It was so funny to see those little faces, trying to look so innocent: "But Mom, I didn't start it!"

Re: Amur Leopard
Hi guys,
I visited the Tallinn Zoo last Sunday as there was a farewell party for Vlada, one of the girls from Darla's previous litter. We had a chance to see her in her enclosure in the background area where the visitors are usually not allowed. What a beautiful young female she is!
Today Vlada is already in her new home at Bellewaerde Park, Belgium. Their male Kitan moved in some time ago from Nordens Ark. (Remember the sad story (page 26) of the cub who had to be euthanized because she became blind? Kitan was her father.) I hope that Vlada and Kitan will make a good pair!
I also saw Darla and the cubs Dora, Muusi (Jupike) and Freddo!
They were so lovely!

Hi guys!
I have great news: Zane has had a cub on May 18! The little girl is doing fine, but of course she is not yet on exhibit.
The Korkeasaari Zoo published some pictures of her:

Can't wait to see the little cutie-pie!

Re: Amur Leopard
I week ago I heard that someone had already seen the baby outside, and on Friday we went to see if she would show up again. And guess what! We DID see her!
She was playing with her mum Zane, I think Zane was teaching her some hunting skills (you know: stalking, chasing, attacking... )
She was so tiny, and so adorable!
She was still a bit shy and did not come very close to us; besides, Zane always placed herself so that she was between us and the baby.
This was the closest babyphoto I could get: "Just stay where you are, or... !"
I was so happy to see them, as I had been waiting for it since May.

Re: Amur Leopard
Hi all!
Since the Amur leopard cub started venturing outside I have visited the zoo every week, and I have been lucky enough to see her every time!
She is so amusing, full of energy and very bold when it comes to climbing trees... Sometimes she gives me some extra heartbeats when she climbs very high and coming down is not as easy as she had thought.
Here she is on August 26:
Cute, isn't she? - on August 31:
This one is from last Tuesday, when she was having some quality time with mum:
Littlewid, she does not have a name yet, but it will start with H. I hope there will be a name competition soon.

Isn't she just adorable CC such a little stunner but she also looks a cheeky firecracker too how lovely that you have been able to get to the zoo every week and see her, your so lucky.
Have you got an idea of a name for her yourself? If so are you going to enter the naming competition?

Re: Amur Leopard
This week's pictures of our baby!
The cute look:
I think my Mum loves me!
Cheeky, me? You must be joking...
Littlewid if there will be a competition, I will enter it for sure, but I don't have any name in my mind yet.
I have decided to call her "Baby Zane" so far.
