Re: Amur Leopard
that's so exciting that Zane has arrived, hopefully she will come out and say hello very soon. I wonder what Toomas will make of her That is such a wonderful photo of Toomas CC, he is just so stunning isn't he. Stina is a beautiful girl isn't she. You are very lucky to be able to see them and i'm grateful for the pictures, I always look forward to your zoo visit posts All we need now is for Zane to make an appearance

Re: Amur Leopard
Darla's nest cam is open again, she looks like she could go into labour any time! (or it can still take some days, but not many!):

Re: Amur Leopard
That's really exciting CC, thanks for letting us know. That's a great pic of her earlier Lai. I have just captured this one and she is resting on her back looking like she has had a good Sunday lunch
It's going to be great to be able to follow her again and her new litter of cubs
Thanks again CC

Darla how wonderful is that, a real cheer to find that this evening. Two beautiful cubs and to see them being born was brilliant, especially the way the first one popped out, just amazing. Now we can have many hours of happy watching this family grow and bond together
A huge WS for posting those two videos, just loved them, thanks so much, your a

Re: Amur Leopard
WS, thank you so much for the videos!!!
The third cub was born about seven hours from the second one; it was a nice surprise when I opened the link and suddenly there was one more baby.
Aren't those little tails adorable?!

What a fantastic surprise 3 little cubs Darla. That's another lovely video WS and Darla is so lovely with them isn't she. She is going to have her paws full with 3 little ones and it's going to be fantastic to see them growing up. That's great news to end the day on.

Re: Amur Leopard
I guess there was someone cleaning the area outside the nest. Darla has moved closer to the door, ready to attack.
Look at the little one: the eyes are open!!!

Re: Amur Leopard
A great couple of videos there WS they are noisy feisty little things aren't they all battling to get a good feed but that's a great thing isn't it, they have a zest for life which is brilliant. Loved those WS
Great pics today CC and Darla does look a bit spooked and ready to pounce doesn't she but then she is a great mum, look at the way she rolled around in the videos so all her cubs could get a feed. She's a mum.

I have visited the zoo three times since Zane's arrival, but I have not seen her yet.
Maybe next time!
Meanwhile I have to post what I did see - I thought you might like this picture of Stina :

Re: Amur Leopard
Last Sunday I visited the zoo again; it was the fourth time since Zane's arrival, and I still had not seen her. I was already giving up hope but went to her enclosure once more before leaving - and there she was!
I was so happy!
She is just as beautiful as her mom Stina, in fact she looks very much like her:
Isn't she a sweetie?!

One of my Estonian friends recorded this short video from tonight. Darla is such a great mom, isn't she? She is so patient and gentle with the little ones.
You can see that one of the cubs has shorter (and I think also thicker) tail than the other two. The Estonian fans call him/her "jupike", meaning "shorty".

Re: Amur Leopard
CC your perseverance paid off a you finally got to see Zana - what brilliant photos, she is truly stunning
Lovely clip of Darla & her babies, totally agree she is an excellent mum Loved the shot at the end when the3rd cub finally comes over to suckle from Darla, she finally seemed totally relaxed once they were all close to her
for the info re "jupike", very appropriate name

Re: Amur Leopard
The babies made their first visit to the zoo vet yesterday! They are two girls and one boy. Jupike is the smallest one, she is on the left in the picture; the other girl (in the middle) is the biggest; the boy on the right:
