It really is sad Lai, and its going to have such a big impact on the Mara, and Kenya as well

I know, and there are just so many articles on it from all over the world, at the end of the day the decision is made by the Taz Government and no one else, so all the lobbying in the world may have no impact whatsoever. Having said that we should never give up .......... I am suddenly inspired.

Thanks Lai. That just reinforces everything that experts in conservation, and invironment are saying. It also has a devastating impact on the Masai Mara, and the effect it will have there.
I asked Aatish of Masai Mara Safaris what his view was of the proposed road, and this was his reply

Well the highway is definitely going to affect the mara and serengeti ecosystems in a very negative way. And if the migration doesnt happen then everything in the mara is over. The wildlife, tourism, jobs etc. Lets just hope it doesnt come to that.

Nobody seems to be able to understand why The President seems so set on the Northern Route. There has to be something going on, if he can afford to turn down the World Bank offer, he must know there's some hidden finance or benifits, the thing is who's going to get the benifits

I still think that there are underhand money forces behind this. How can the President ignore all the warnings, and advice from all over the World, including his own Government. People also still do not seem understand the devastation this will cause to the Maisa Mara ecosystem,and the economy, including jobs.
