Meru video Dec. 2012
A short video, just over 3 mins of my trip to Meru National Park in Dec. Quality is not very good as it was filmed with my little pocket camera in between using my main camera for stills but I hope it gives a feel of what it is like on safari particularly for those who have not been lucky enough to experience one.

WOW Safariman, one thing that struck me was how green it was, it all looked so lush which must have given great feeding for a lot of the animals. I loved the river, I do like water so that was beautiful to see and all the Buffs too, I'm a big Buff fan so to see so many together was brilliant and then to have the two adult eles and the little one walking right by your jeep must have been brilliant, that must have caused a huge smile and the Zebra having a little jump and play, just lovely.
It really does give a huge flavour of being on Safari and loved it and all done on your pocket camera as well, its really good I think and I can't forget the Giraffe, they are just so graceful aren't they.
Is Meru your favourite place?

A Wonderful clip Safariman. I loved seeing all the different animals, especially the white rhino and to see how green it was is amazing. Like Littlewid I love the buff boys so it was great to see them.
Definitely a place Pete and I want to visit. Oh dear my safari wish list is getting very long now ........
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Meru is one of my favourite places and I am not sure quite why. I love seeing the cats, lions, leopards and cheetahs but these are very difficult to find in Meru. I think perhaps it is the sense of having the whole place to oneself as you hardly ever see any other vehicles or people. It is also known as the 'Complete Wilderness' and it certainly lives up to its name. The scenery can at times be breathtaking as it was in Dec. after the rains. To see it so green is very rare as it normally has a very parched look with straw coloured grass dominating but the 13 permanent rivers and streams give it its life, I will hopefully be returning in the future.

Another great video Safariman, it's really wonderful to see such a variaty of different animals, nice bit of editing to show everything in the same clip. I love the way the Egrets come in to take advantage of the Buffs feeding, and it was good to see the Rhino, and the Elephant family especialy after all the bad news we've had lately. I thought the river clips were brilliant to
