The patchwork of habitats includes limestone scree, grassland and woodland. More than 30 species occur on the hill including, High Brown Fritillary, Scotch Argus, Speckled Wood and Northern Brown Argus.

There are many ways to enjoy your Wildlife Trust. You may want to come along to a guided walk, a talk given by an expert in the field, a fun day, an opportunity to learn or a day of practical conservation work. We hope you will find something here to please you. Most events are free and open to non-members. Those that carry a charge or are restricted to Members will be clearly marked.

The Whats On Diary for the Lancashire Wildlife Trust is pack full of events, even into 2011. Click on the diary link below for direct information:

Cheshire Wildlife Trust has been the leading independent wildlife and environmental charity in the Cheshire Region for almost 50 years. We manage 45 nature reserves across the county, and our ground-breaking Conservation Grazing Scheme with native-breed cattle is helping to bring wildlife back to the wider countryside as part of our ‘Living Landscapes’ project. We stand up for wildlife in local communities and provide opportunities for people of all ages to discover the natural world through events, volunteering and outreach projects.
