Terrible news. She is such a character. I will keep my fingers crossed though.

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
Rich, a regular on FB has said this about White Eye :-
"If the gov's last report is accurate. White Eye has two reasons not to be found, 2 young sons and she may have given birth..Lets hope they are right!"
Fingers, toes and everything else crossed this is the case

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
Last I read from Governors was that she was spotted outside the reserve and looking heavy. I haven't read anything since then about her, I'm hoping I have missed something!

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
I saw Rich's comment too Doogs. I really hope he's right. What he says makes good sense as she's a good mom. If she has cubs they won't find her until she's ready to be found. I don't think it's time to worry yet. If she just had cubs and it's only been two weeks since confirmed sightings, we may have a few weeks to go before she shows herself and the cubs.

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
If WE was seen lactating only a few weeks ago then it would be perfectly normal for her not to have been seen and probably won't be seen for another few weeks yet. I don't want to slag him off but surely Jackson would know about this so why post the thread that he did on his blog and give is all heart failure !!

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
It will be really sad if White Eye has gone We have lost some really iconic, and much loved Lions in the last 12 months, we know it happens, and its life in the Mara, everything must move on, but it's still sad to loose them.
But at least no news is good news they say, so I'll keep hoping

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
Great photo as you say, but I still worry about the future of Lions in the Mara with Notch, and his boys again taking over such a large area. I'm afraid it's going to mean more Cubs being killed, and not making it to adulthood

Thanks Doogs - I really enjoy Jackson's updates.
