I love it when you post these Littlewid, there are some stunning photos in there. My favourite has to be the meerkat. How cool is that?

There are some lovely ones Lai and sad ones too, the little Marmoset is so cute and thank heavens he was rescued, so sad about the baby Flamingo's I didnt like the dog wedding at the end but when I read why it had been done it was all in a good cause for homeless animals like you I love these too.

i so agree about the dog wedding - and then i read the reason why and understood. The real shame is how many of these beautiful animals are in captivity.

As wonderful as alot of these pictures are Lai, thats the thing that gets me every week, they are nearly always from Zoos around the world, it would be nice to see just free wild animals sometimes.

Re: Animal pictures of the week
Designer dogs are not for me. I go as far as coats for my dogs, Bentleys always had one and he loves them, his is so practical as it goes all under him and has a massive collar to it and it goes under his back legs with straps to stop it flapping up and it helps to keep the kidneys warm and I would not take him out in the wet without it ( my old fellow needs to be kept warm and dry or joints suffer big time). Nero has an ordinary coat, he's a little tough guy and just shakes the rain off but his fur goes into massive rasta curls when it's wet and a right pain to groom and not good for him, so coats they have but other stuff, no way, but I must admit, I do love bandanas on dogs

Re: Animal pictures of the week
Penny also has a coat but she is a skinny old greyhound and needs one to keep the cold out. I agree with coats when needed but that blingy coat for that poor little dog was just so over the top!

Re: Animal pictures of the week
I think most Greyhounds have a coat Lai as they are such lean dogs and need to be kept warm, so like you I agree with that but you are right, that silly blingy thing was awful and i'm sure the dog didnt like it, it must be uncomfortable with all those beeds etc and totally impractical.

Re: Animal pictures of the week
I don't agree with that blingy coat either! Millie does has a coat for when its very cold, but she prefers not to wear one at all. Generally sick is involved when it goes on. Although she does accept it when its freezing.
There are some cute photos there, but so sad that the majority of them were from zoo's

They are nearly always from Zoos Anne-Marie, it is sad that that is the way it is, we have said before it would be lovely if more of the pics were wild animals living where they should be.
