Re: Animal pictures of the week
I know what you mean Lai. Every week you have to seperate the good from the bad. Some are lovely to see and others I wished they hadn't bothered.

Re: Animal pictures of the week
Yes, that's true, and I suppose then it highlights the issues and maybe something can be done about it. But sometimes it is quite beyond belief!
Having said that, I always look forward to seeing them, as there are always some wonderful photos in the selection.

I look forward to seeing them too Lai and some do really make me smile but like you I also hope the ones that don't make me smile will raise awareness and things will change, so I suppose it's not all bad.

Re: Animal pictures of the week
I agree with you both.
But then I think to myself thoses that look at these picture and are saddened and annoyed with what they see have a heart. Thoses that dont care need to think again!

I really agree with you there SM. In another post I put on today about the songbirds it said in there that you often hit people harder through the press than you can in the field to raise awareness. I think thats quite true, so to keep posting these weekly pics is a good thing.

Favourite photos this time were the cute wombats & bear cubs
Poor little mouse in that jaws of that frog
Never seen a dolphin that small before, gorgeous
Saddened and dismayed at the and the bear on that tightrope

I agree there with you Doogs, those pictures saddened me too. There are some lovely ones in there as well though. I think the little mouse really got me though

Animal Pictures of the year. 2010-Feeding & Fighting
The photography here is amazing, some a bit but it is life (not that I like it) but you have to respect the photography, they are well worth a look.

Re: Animal pictures of the week
Some really stunning photography there - and i loved the fact we didnt have any circus animals/dancing bears etc being made to perform.
The patience some of these photographers have is really quite something!

Glad you liked the pics. I thought there were some stunning ones there and it was lovely to see Machali and her daughter, the Tigers from Ranthambore. We have read about them before and I also believe we have seen pics from Cassio and Ale on there trip to Ranthambore National Park.

Re: Animal pictures of the week
Glad you all liked the pics, they do seem to be putting up wonderful animal ones lately and not performing animal ones which is much better.
I also liked the way they are trying to get people to appreciate Polar bears by swimming the other side of the glass, I bet thats a real experience.

Re: Animal pictures of the week
Thats true LW. I posted a pic about that with an ariticle that showed two children swimming just in front of the Polar Bears. It looked really scary when you first saw it untill you read there was glass in front. I bet it's a great experience
