WS - that's so funny. I have to agree Blossom isn't the most masculine name for a bull ele.

A few updates / photos from GC via Facebook:
Photos courtesy of Il Moran guide Maina Wachira:- https://www.facebook.com/#!/media/set/?set=a.509753052370254.123317.127029937309236&type=1
Update from Philip, Manager at Governors Camp, Masai Mara
"Yesterday afternoon it was all happening on the bridge between the airstrip and Governors camp. A pair of mating lions, 6 cubs and a herd of wildebeest and zebra. As our group left camp they watched one of the enduring spectacles of the Mara unfold in front of them – the ambush and the chase. This time the wildebeest won. The cloud continued to build up and we had a Mara Special – a spectacular array of thunderstorms bringing in rain to the Park. We woke to a beautiful fresh sunny morning, with grass already beginning to green".

Re: Goveners Camp Masai Mara
From Governors Camp FB Page 05/11/2012 :-
"This photo was sent to us by Tonia Lushington, Tonia stayed at Little Governors recently and sent us this photo in response to the ele's holding trunks photo we posted, she said
We too witnessed a very touching scene - probably the same group of elephants. What we witnessed .. The young elephant was grazing and seemed to be struggling with a tuft of scrub. He/she had managed to circle her tru...nk round the shrub but just couldn't manage the final manoeuvre of coaxing it out with her front leg. Mother was watching - she took a step forward seemed to lean against the young one (to add her weight to the exercise ?) then gave even more encouragement with her front leg. Tuft of scrub was lifted clear and consumed to the great delight of the young ele !"

Re: Goveners Camp Masai Mara
Just how brilliant is that, amazing how much inteligence Elephants have, and how caring they are of their young. I was watching a little family group on Petes Pond last night ( posted a Vid ) and the baby one was walikg right underneath her Mother, she never put a foot wrong ven though she could'nt see the baby. Brilliant photos of Mum helping with the tuft of grass. Thanks Doogs
