No No No. The devices are Ear Defenders. If they are not fitted every Animal in Motswari is going to know LW's on the way from the moment she steps out of the front door in the UK, and you wont see hide nor hair of them.
I'm only trying to help honest

Re: Motswari Game Reserve Blog
hahahahaha, should i start preparing myself for your arrival now????
as for the bird book - i do carry one around; i use the Kenneth Newman Bird's of Southern Africa (or actually, a version just with birds of the Kruger National Park, but it is out of print now)....we also give you a checklist with all the bids and animals that you can tick off as you go along!
sorry, havent posted the blog updates on here for a while, but hope you all been keeping up to date on www.motswariblog.blogspot.com!

Thanks for that Chad. Good to know we will get a check list for all the animals we will get to see. Thanks for the name of the book, I wonder if we may just find one in a second hand shop, it's worth a thought.
Promise we will behave when we are there but oh yes, good idea to prepare yourself now, we are very excited
I have tomorrow evening set aside for my Motswari catch up

LW, check out this link on Amazon, looks like you can get the book for just over £10 which seems quite reasonable.
www.amazon.co.uk/Kenneth-Newmans-Birds-Southern-Africa/dp/1770078762
I think Chad is just beginning to click at what he's letting himself in for with you lot heading over there
Lovely to wake up to the sound of lions roaring and a couple of crackers they are as well Of the 3 times I've been to the Mara I once heard lions roaring in the middle of the night, it was an amazing sound that put shivers right through me :)
The mother and baby honey badger were rather funny , mum was quite adamant that you weren't going to get a good look at her baby !!
Kuhanya looked gorgeous and well chilled in her tree and the 'photo of the day' for 25/02 of Thumbela is just stunning

Re: Motswari Game Reserve Blog
Thanks for the heads up on the book Doogs I will have a look later and see about ordering it
If I don't hear a Lion roar whilst I am there I am going to be so dissapointed, so they can roar all night as far as I am concerned and I really want it to be LOUD so it makes me jump out of my skin......i'm sure when you hear it on the TV it's never as loud as everyone says it is, so I want a good old proper roar that makes me catch my breath.......that I would bottle as well

Don't you worry Littlewid a lion roar travels some distance and you'll think it's outside your tent/room so you'll be bound to jump - having said that it might be right outside
