The strange thing was it actualy stayed behind the tree for some time untill the Jigga moved for a better view. Then it went away.

ROAD WARS
There you are driving along, all nice, and peaceful. When two other inconsiderate road users just park in the middle of the road You drive up, and toot your Horn. No response
So you have a word with the Guy on the left
Then you have a word with the Guy on the right
Thats when you notice they have a much stronger Horn than you do, and decide on a detour
Only to find there's more traffic in the shape of a Juggernought coming up on the right
Whilst arguing who has the right of way. You notice the other Guys really upset, he's got fluid running from his eyes, and temporal lobes, that means he MUST have right of way
you realise that when he tries to ram the back of your vehicle
Thats when you decide to give up, and ring the better half to say your going to be late. Your stuck behind a heavy load

Re: Post WildEarth Pics
It was cerainly interesting for Kat on camera. The Bull Elephant who was about 45 Yrs old was heavy in must. It charged the back of the Jigga, and blew dust, and twigs from its trunk that it had picked up off the road all over her it was that close. It really put the wind up her, the Guide was chuckling, he said he knew it was a false charge, because when Elephants really charge they put their trunk between their legs, and the ears are flat to the side, but this ones ears were flapping wide, and his trunk was in the air waving. I hope he's never proved wrong

Re: Post WildEarth Pics
how brilliant was that to see then WS and fantastic commentary from you, that so made me giggle mind you I think I would have been a tad worried with him blowing stuff all over me too but it's interesting to hear about a false charge and what they do, I never realised they put their trunks between their legs, keeps it out of danger I suppose.

Re: Post WildEarth Pics
Just caught some news from the Drive Karula has new Cubs, dont know how many, and Induna and Mixo, havent met them yet. Been quiet the last two days after the Road Block. Yesterday the Camera ran out of power. Today Patrick was driving for about an hour finaly we got some views of Langer Monkeys, the Impala nearby and the Monkeys were giving out alarm calls. There was proberbly a Leopard close, but it could'nt be spotted

Those are really nice pics WS
I have just got in and am so excited to hear the news about Karula it is just wonderful news. I wonder what sex they are? anyway, whatever they are I am sure they will be as gorgous as Mixo and Induna, those boys are a credit to Karula, I just hope they get along with the new cubs. Can't wait to find out more info on them

Re: Post WildEarth Pics
Thay have'nt had much luck on the Drive the last couple of days. Monday Patrick had a double puncture, so that was that, then yesterday it was raining to much. However it was on this morning
A Croc at Djuma resting up in the sun
and a White Faced Duck testing his luck
perhaps I can get a bit closer
Could be a bit Dodgy this
He does'nt look that friendly close up
Some Guinea Fowl that have not been around as usual on the opposite bank
and an Impala Buck on alert

Re: Post WildEarth Pics
Got these on the morning drive. Mark was tracking a Leopard for over 1/2 hr, but finaly gave up, and headed to Gowri Dam, and it was WOW. Elephants all over the place
These two thought it was time for a dip
The smaller one seemed a bit nervous
Especialy as the larger one got further out, and said to his friend, dont come in its deep
It was amazing there were nearly 50 Elephants there, with small herds, and family groups coming, and going all the time
WS
Then he went under all together
but he was cheating, he was sitting on the bottom
