It's great to see so many of you are still following the Big Cat.
Here at the BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol we'd love to bring Big Cat back and want to hear your thoughts.
What did you like?
What didn't you like?
What were the parts of show you enjoyed the most?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Fans of Big Cat Live/Diary/Week
Thanks SM, I did see it and was beside myself when I did !!!
This can only be a step in the right direction for our favourite programme to come back on our screens. The very fact they are posting this and asking for peoples views makes me think they are definitely thinking about it.
Theres 186 posts on their page regarding this - that speaks volumes in itself

Re: Fans of Big Cat Live/Diary/Week
J&A posted this as one of their 'responses' on their blog :-
Jonathan and Angie on 22 Jul 2010 at 10:15 pm
I am told that the BBC Natural History Unit who produce Big Cat Diary recently had a brain-storming session to come up with ideas as to how BCD might move forward – how they might use the presenters and who they might be – sounds as if there is renewed interest in getting BCD back on air. But lets see! Meanwhile the real show goes on – in the Mara with Notch and Shakira and Olive – and all the other cats.
There's definitely something in the air !!!

I think the more positive responses they can surely they can not ignore us!!
Though I did notice that there was a bit of back peddling on FB:
But they have opened the floodgates!

Big Cat Live Sorry - should have been clearer. We'd love to make a new series, but its still in early development. A lot of hurdles to get over before its back on your screens (and afraid no guarantees) but getting your opinions and ideas are really important to giving it the best chance possible. Hope that makes sense?
But they have opened the floodgates!

Hopefully it will be a case of they can't ignore the masses and there must be a strong possibility that they are seriously considering it otherwise I don't they would dare open it up to public comment.

Flyin visit from me, I had to tell you all this as soon as I could.
I was in Kuoni in Milton Keynes this weekend getting prices for Honeymoon!! The Africa specialist there informed me that BCD/BCL had just been booked in at Govenors for this September! Well I nearly fell off my chair! I just hope and pray she got the right end of the stick!!

Re: Fans of Big Cat Live/Diary/Week
Straight from a man who knows .............
Hi Camilla and Pete - great to hear from you. Botswana was wonderful - there is something about the Delta though you can't beat Mara-Serengeti for wildlife. We had very good sightings of wild dogs at a den at Selnda and good leopard - and Abu was as ever a special experience for the elephant back safari.
We are filming with BBC a two-part series called Lions:The Truth which I am delighted to be presenting. We were in Serengeti with the team filming the lion project there which has been running for more than 40 years!! Warren is our cameraman and we will be at Governors in Sept filming. No news on BCD other than that they are supposedly brain-storming on where to take it next in terms of style - so maybe 2011 - definitely nothing this year.
We have details of our Rekero trips for Feb and Oct 2011 - will get Chris Flatt at Bush and Beyond to send you details - maybe he has already!
I think the RGS is 14 Dec - we had better check in case we are giving people the wrong info - we are also at the Bird Fair 20-22 Aug at Rutland Water (speaking on the Sunday 22 Aug there).
Really looking forward to catching up with you again - we will be in Mara from end of Aug to end of Oct this year either filming or safaris.
Warm regards
Jonathan and Angie

Not a problem Anne-Marie,
and she was half right as you say, it seems for all the interest and talk that something may well be on the cards.

Re: Fans of Big Cat Live/Diary/Week
Oooo was catching up with the previous stuff and also got excited there Jonathan did say in his blog he was filming Lions, The Truth and that he was presenting and I think the times he would be there. I reckon the girl in Kuoni was a BCD/BCL fan as well and was getting all excited. We will just have to wait and see what happens but surely with all the interest something has got to happen and at least even Jonathan isnt saying its definiately not happening.

Re: Fans of Big Cat Live/Diary/Week
As it is looking unlikely that BCD will be back I thought I would post the link for anyone who wants to watch any of the wonderful video clips they filmed during Big Cat Live.
I had forgotten just how much I miss BCD - but there are some great clips.
