Thanks Ronnie. Some great shots on there, I like the way a lot of his Cheetah shots show the Cheetahs in an elevated position like on branches, and termite mounds

Governor's Camp posted some new pics of Olive and the cubs today on FB.
They are so tiny! She is something else!

Re: Fans of Big Cat Live/Diary/Week
I was just checking J & A's blog and Rich Smith has posted some info with regards to some of our favorites. They are reporting that Olive's cubs are one male and one female. Paul K. says the little female has been named Saba, and her brother Nane. Also some info on Notch as well.

Hey everyone, Sarah Skinner has just put up a video of Olive from her recent trip to the Mara on Youtube. I know you'd want to see it if you haven't already. I think she put the link on FB also.

Ronnie - the second clip made my morning, Olive and her cubs, just wonderful. I'm a huge leopard fan and having seen Olive have a real soft spot for her.

Re: Fans of Big Cat Live/Diary/Week
Not sure where to post this but Sarah Skinner posted this on FB - I've also posted this under her blog 'Wild Adventures'. A great map and very useful to give us all an idea of who is where.

Following my latest trip to the Mara a couple of weeks back and taking into account information built up over many many visits!!!! (20+!) as well as active (and much appreciated!) input by Paul Kirui and Simon Chebon I have developed a very basic map showing an overview of approximate pride areas in the main reserve and Mara Triangle current as of MARCH 2012. This is not meant to show detail of specific territory sizes and nor represents specifically their core areas. It shows only a specific area of the Mara at this moment in time and not the outlying conservancies. It is merely designed to provide an indicative guide of the areas within which the prides are located and generally move within. It is essentially designed to help assist those who are not familiar with the areas. Of course please bear in mind that pride areas are constantly shifting according to prey availability and many other factors and often many territories will cross over as well as prides splitting in accordance with food availability. Any questions, feedback or suggested amends are all welcome!!! Please note that the Maji ya Fisi pride is not illustrated here due to the fact they are currently split around the Hamerkop area and in a basic map hard to represent. BIG thanks to Paul Kirui and Simon!. CREDIT: Sarah Skinner

Re: Fans of Big Cat Live/Diary/Week
Haven't seen either of those clips before, Ronnie
Especially loved the 2nd one with the cubs, you could sit and watch that all day My mum has shot some decent video footage on previous safaris but I've got no idea how you edit it One early morning last year we came across Olive & Bahati (we were the only ones there) and my photos we not great as there wasn't enough light but mums video recording was great, amazingly good light. She gets credit where credit is due but her attempt at filming the 3 cheetah boys hunting will not go down under the 'classics' heading - she tried, bless
We're going to see this year if she'll let myself, dad & Ian take the photos and she sticks to the video camera, I think that would be a good combination

Re: Fans of Big Cat Live/Diary/Week
The best way to get those edited is at a good photographic shop, a lot will still do them, and there are machines that will convert them into a DVD
Just been looking through BCD Clips, found this one on Lion Spotting

Wasn't really sure where to put this but it seemed like this was the place. A wonderful video by Jonathan and Angie Scott from their time in the Mara earlier this year. it features Notch, Notch II and Grimace as best I can tell. I really hope it continues!
