Foxes Live: Wild in the City
Monday - Friday, Channel 4 8pm
The UK's urban fox population has dramatically increased over recent decades, yet we know relatively little about them. As part of a nationwide campaign, Channel 4 is using footage gathered from CCTV, tracking technology and sightings captured on phones to increase our understanding of how this increasingly brazen species lives.
As well as creating a map of the distribution of the country's growing urban fox population, the series aims to provoke and inform further debate on whether the creatures are dangerous pests or a colourful part of the landscape of the urban jungle.
After Monday's programme there will be five minute updates throughout the week.
One I will surely be watching as I love foxes and see them as part of our colourful landscape.

Me too Lai, I will be watching tonight. Mark Evans is a fairly good presenter, haven't seen him around for a while though so it's good he is back on the TV but the real stars are going to be the wonderful foxes.......I am so excited about this one

Re: Foxes Live: Wild in the City
What a brilliant programme this was. It has 5 minute updates this week at 8pm and on Friday the update is 7.30pm. I believe it is on next week for a longer running time like tonights but I will keep you updated.
There is a web site to log into but unfortunately the system crashed during the programe, too many people trying to get on I imagine as they are asking for fox sightings plus I think you can keep an eye on the Den cams. I have just tried the site but it's still down.
I think this is so informative and does give a rounded view on peoples thoughts about the wonderful fox.
Very sad this evening though about one little fox family but wont say more until others have watched it.
Once the site is up and running again I will put the link up and also do my best to keep you updated on it all.

The web site is now up again and you can view the dens live. I have just had a look at Den 1 and we have a sleeping fox.
Heres the link to the den cams
http://foxes.channel4.com/dencams/live-dencams
They are large cams so the viewing is good. Sadly PC playing up so can't post a pic at the moment.

Re: Foxes Live: Wild in the City
I tell you these little cubs are amazing, they are playing around, in and out of the den and waiting for mum to come back with food. They are also attacking the wood that is holding the cam for inside the den, so it may go down at some point if they manage to get it of the shed. They are truely amazing to watch.

Re: Foxes Live: Wild in the City
Just been watching again, I think the Cub on its own below is Tom, the info on this group is Tom seems to be excluded from the group now, and again, but they were all just playing together, two were having a real rough, and tumble, and the other two were just sitting happily watching the other two. Its really wunderful to watch this little family
Re: Foxes Live: Wild in the City
They are a great little family aren't they WS. When I first checked in they were all playing together and it was such fun to watch them all leaping around and chasing each other, they were also watching and waiting for mum to return and boy did they make a fuss of her when she did and then they started suckling from her and you could hear the noise.
The little update on the TV last night was very short and sweet but lovely to see and I think it was this family they showed, another little update tonight and then on Monday it's another hour long programme and then I believe we will have another hour long programme but I will keep an eye on that.
lets hope they are as active tonight.

Great photos Littlewid and WS - what a shame I missed them
I saw the 5 minute update on Channel 4 - wish it had been longer though. Off to check the cams now.
