Re: Foxes Live: Wild in the City
I would love that too PPH. Just checked both Den cams and it's quiet at both dens at the moment. Will check in later this evening again.
I wish the updates were longer too Lai, they are tasty little snippets only aren't they. Mondays programme should be good as it's an hour again I believe.

Oh that's great news, thanks Littlewid. An hour is okay, 5 mins is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too short!

Re: Foxes Live: Wild in the City
Den Cam one quiet. Den Cam two has been really fun to watch. The Cubs have been having a real rough, and tumble. They look as though they are on Pogo Sticks jumping up in the air, and springing off the screen, and back on again, but Tom seems to be left out quite a bit, and stays on his own against the wall of the shed, quite a lot.
They played about for a long time, then went in the Den, but Tom stayed outside on his own, and settled down in the undergrowth
Two of the Cubs showed briefly on Cam one

Great shots WS and poor little Tom, I wonder why he is so timid. It looks like he's in the naughty corner from your photo WS

Lovely shots from yesterday WS, poor little Tom, I too wonder why he is being left out, maybe he is just a shy little fellow.
I couldn't get on her last night as my pc was playing up but hopefully all sorted now so looking forward to watching them later hopefully.

Re: Foxes Live: Wild in the City
Great you got some pics last night WS I have just checked the cams and it is all quiet at both Dens just now.
Had a look at the tracking for Chico, the little fox that got released on Monday, he is a fairly active little fox but it made me smile that his top speed today has been 2.08mph, I call that a little amble His last tracked movement was at 4pm.
There are quite a few foxes being tracked in Brighton which is about 3/4hr drive from me so I am going to try and keep tabs on how far they roam as well.

Just watching Den cam2 and the bright light in the pic by the wood on the den is a pair of foxes ears, just wish the little fox would come out and say hello.

Just caught this slippery fox out of Den 1, not a good pick as she moved at the speed of lightening

Re: Foxes Live: Wild in the City
Just got another one off Den 1
That first one was rather speedy WS. If you go on to the den page you will see at the top tracking, if you click on that it brings up another page and near the bottom it says lets get started, click on that and then you can click the different foxes to follow and if you click on the map it brings up their area and where they have been and what they have been doing today ie how far they have gone and what speeds of travel, its fascinating.

Re: Foxes Live: Wild in the City
Those really are lovely shots Lai. The den cams are fascinating aren't they, I was hooked to them last night.
The good news is, Foxes Live is on MONDAY, TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY 8 - 9pm, so we have a whole hour to watch for the last three days
Tonight we have our 5 min update at 7pm

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Thanks Littlewid. Will Sky+ the week. The 5 mins update is really only 1 minute which is a shame but still good. I did the fox survey and it's great to see how many people have to date.

Quiet at both Den cams at the moment.
Usually we have foxes round here Lai but how typical that since the programme I haven't seen any so not done the survey, I have been following the Foxes in Brighton though as thats really not too far from me.
Do you have one fox near you or a family of foxes?

Re: Foxes Live: Wild in the City
We normally do have foxes, I've never seen young cubs but Penny and Tamu gave serious chase to one who got into our garden and scared it to bits so it's not been back - although it is in the woods from time to time, you can smell it!

Re: Foxes Live: Wild in the City
I don't blame it not coming back with Penny and Tamu on charge Lai
Just checked both Den cams and nothing at the moment but it is lovley that they have now added sound because you can hear the birds and like last nights update you could hear the foxes suckling and mum calling them.
Don't forget the programme is on for an hour this evening, channel 4 8pm
