Re: Snow Leopards
Glad you liked the pictures. And big thanks to CC for all the information you have provided and continue to provide. Knowing more about the animals makes following them much more fun.
I visited the Zoo again this Friday. This time the cubs came out to play only 15 minutes before closing. Before that I only caught a few peeks through the bars at the back of the enclosure. It seems they like to come out when the sun is setting, which is unfortunately when the zoo is closing. Maybe they are playing all night when no-one is watching...
I made a "passport" photos of the faces to help in identifying the cubs in different photos:
The face markings are of course different, but they are still so similar that it's very hard to tell the cubs apart from a distance and different angles. And I don't know if they even have names yet, so at the moment it's just about wondering if two pictures are of the same cub.
In the limited time I did get a few good pics and I've added them to the existing ones at:

Amazing shots!!! How did you make them pose for you? - Thank you so much for sharing!!!
I visited the Zoo a week ago, and about five minutes before the closing time one of the cubs came to the doorway, sitting there and looking down to us, but it lasted only a couple of minutes. Then they all were lying behind the bars, obviously waiting for us to leave so that they could come out to play. I am sure you are right: they must have wild nights after all that sleeping in daytime.
I am starting to feel desperate... after all I have tried to see them since May!
I believe the Zoo will have a name competition for the cubs, just as they did when Eloisa, Esha and Eve were young. I hope so!

I'm sure you'll see them next time. Your bad luck can't last that long.
Oh and or course cats pose for nobody. But if you take enough pictures they can't avoid looking at the camera every now and then... Cropping and rotating and scaling makes the pictures look much more organized than they really were.

Re: Snow Leopards
Thanks for the ID photos sst, great work with your photo editor. I love doing stuff like that with mine, it's amazing what a difference it can make, and what you can do.
CC you'll have to try and go at the same time as sst, to see the cubs, at least you might see them

WS, that is excactly what I was thinking, too!
Now I only have to find the way to guess the date for sst's next visit...
Well I'll try today after work anyway; keep your fingers crossed!

Great to catch up with this thread and those photos are great sst - what a good idea and now we can ID them all and let's hope they get some names soon.
CC you'll just have to spend more time at the zoo I hope you got there yesterday and had some luck with the cubs

Re: Snow Leopards
Thanks, WS! In fact that is the way I have always copied the photo links; the Copy box never worked for me, I don't know why.
I tried to upload some pictures, but I managed only this one (it said the connection broke):
The babies were very curious; they kept staring at us but did not dare to come very close.
I will try to upload more photos tomorrow.
I was so happy to see them, finally!

Re: Snow Leopards
Finally the cubs were kind enough to show up for you Hopefully they will be out more and more, and your luck will now hold.
The cubs were at the back area of the enclosure during my visits as well and very observant of the surroundings. The most curious of them (the one in your picture actually) did purposefully move a bit closer, trying to hide behind rocks and logs (which was when I got this earlier picture). Only a few meters closer, still far away. Once they get more used to people and figure out they are safe on their side of the glass, I look forward to seeing them up close.
Thanks for your picture, I look forward to seeing more.

sst, that is excactly what they did when we were there, too! Some day they will be brave enough to come closer, hopefully!
It looks like this system allows only one photo per posting! When I tried to upload the second photo, it said again that the connection is broken.

Re: Snow Leopards
There is definitely something wrong with the upload process. Is there a new rule that one cannot upload more than one photo per day?
I keep receiving an error message saying that the connection to the server is broken.

Re: Snow Leopards
Fantastic that you've both seen the cubs and thanks for sharing the photos CC. I don't know about one photo per day, it used not to be the case but WS will know more about that as I haven't tried uploading pictures for a while now.

Re: Snow Leopards
Hi SST & CC It seems to be working OK for me.
First have you followed the new update link on posting photos on the home page ? Second are you clicking preview in between each photo upload ?. The host site may have sorted it in between you posting, and me looking at it, as I've been busy working over the weekend, and haven't had time to catch up. Anymore problems please let me know

Re: Snow Leopards
Thanks, WS!
Today I successfully uploaded two photos to the Amur leopard thread, so maybe there really were some problems with the connections.
I'll try with one more picture where you can see how tiny they still are:

Re: Snow Leopards
I have been facing problems with uploading new pictures but let's try again:
Valma is enjoying her motherhood to the full: she plays with the babies letting them chase her up and down the rocks. Sometimes it is hard to follow all that happens, as there are so many of them and their enclosure is pretty large.
This one is a true poser:
They are just so adorable!
