Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
Interesting reading and I must confess to having to look up Mara North, wasn't entirely sure where it is . Managed to find this website that looks good www.maranorth.com/index.html
Lai have you been here before, looks nice. Is it nearer the Mara or Samburu do you know as I'm still not entirely sure where it is and that's with looking at the maps !!!
Thanks, Doogs

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
When I was doing riding safaris yes Doogs I have ridden through the area. We were always on the move in our tented camp. It's a lovely area. I've never stayed at one of the lodges though.
It is outside the Mara conservancy hence you can ride through it, and located north of the Mara National Reserve in the south west corner of Kenya.

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
I still had to check my facts Doogs - having ridden through it many times didn't mean I knew exactly where it was or where I was! You lose all sense of everything on a horse!
I think I must share some riding safari experiences one of these days

I'll start a new thread called 'Close Encounters with wildlife' and then we can all add stories

Lipsy
Great to hear that Shingo and her cubs are still doing well, she's some mum. Would be good if we could get some more up to date picutures of them. They should all still be together when the onslaught of the WAA Forum arrives in September. I know the cubs will be big then but it would be some sight 7 cheetah together
Hope the limp of one of Honey's Boys heals up soon.

Makes me sad to read cars are still surrounding the cheetahs its just irresponsible!
Its sad to read about Lipsy too poor thing.

Yeah, thanks WS
Nice to know Jackson has been and will be somewhere slightly different in the Mara, Naboisho Conservancy and he's going to introduce us to a Pride of Lions there
