Dudu Beaton The cubs have hunted and managed to kill two mornings in a row but have had the kills stolen by lions and then hyeana. We are trying our hardest in Naboisho Camp to keep them monitored and to try and help in some way but it is very difficult. They are scared and move quickly and at night so we keep losing them. Hopefully tomorrow if they manage to kill again they will have time to eat it.......

What a shame they are managing to kill but losing it to bigger, stronger predators It's great though that they are able to kill for themselves, certainly gives us hope.
Looks like they are trying to look after them but keep them wild, here's hoping they succeed

Just catching up with this and previousl entries from when I was on holiday, thanks WS
Great to hear that Shingo and her 'troop' are all doing well, haven't heard of them for a while.
Wonderful to also see Notch doing just grand :)

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
He's not updated his blog but Jackson has posed a few pictures on his FB Page of Chezza & Sala which is just great I actually heard a rumour whilst out in the Mara that one of them might have been killed so delighted that this is not the case.
I still get a wee lump in my throat when I think back to what an amazing pair they were growing up, I think it's wonderful that they are still together

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
Just caught up with this AM. Will go and check out the photo's later. How awful that would have been if one of them had been killed, too sad for words. They are such a wonderful pair It would have been worrying how one would have coped without the other, so i'm so pleased the rumour is not true.
I still love the fact that my Tiga has the pedigree name of Cheza

Great photos of the pair. It's wonderful they are still together, they were inseperable when they were young. Thanks Doogs

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
Loving that Tiga's pedigree name is Cheza LW
After my post on Thursday there seems to be a bit of debate on FB as to whether it really is Chezza and Sala, it's all getting a bit Some people are looking into it to confirm if the photo's Jackson posted are the two of them or other lions
Also, some not so good news, apparently four male lions are trying to take over the Marsh Pride Paul Kirui posted picture of Joy with her four cubs and she also had Sienna's one cub after they had ran away from the new males which almost caught up with them The cubs are still in great danger as Romeo and Clawed are nowhere to be seen to proctect them - this is not good news at all and it's all happening out there and I hope the MP babies are all ok.
Seeing this post also made me wonder. We caught up with a female from the Marsh Pride on our final day in the Mara and she had four cubs, I wondering if this was Joy ? Also, she is looking after Sienna's one cub - again the cub I posted suckling from it's mum, this could have been Sienna and her cub :?: Would be great if it was

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
If I remember right Jonathen Scott in the truth about Lions, said about the Marsh Pride, he wondered how long thery could stay as Pride Males. They were overdue for a takeover, and he was concrned wether they would last long enough for the current Cubs to have enough time to groe, and survive

Re: Jackson Looseyia's Blog
Thanks for that Doogs. That will be great, he has been very busy recently, we only saw him in passing in a vehicle, just time to say Jambo and then he was off with his guests. He was funny though, he told our driver we had a flat tyre right by the lions!

Hey LW, no there hasn't been anything else but Jackson did go on holiday just after the pictures appear on FB. There was definitley a lot of confusion as to whether it was the boys or not Hopefully we'll get some more info soon
