Thanks LW some great pics there love the Puggle, and the one of the Rhinos is so funny. The Monket with the red wine looks like he's got a hangover Halloween, and the Marmaset and the other halloween theme pics are brill. The only thing I can say about larvae of the pink underwing moth is that real is something

Re: Animal pictures of the week
Another amazing thread!
I like the gorilla celebrating its birthday. And it is from Werribee Zoo! It's terrific that this selection of pictures are taken from all corners of the globe.
Interesting to see that San Diego zoo in the states are creating their own Australian animals section Those Yanks will surely love those cute wombats :)
But they are not as cute as that white tiger cub
The baboon carrying the goat is very aaaw shucks!
The chimpanzees look like they are having a meeting concerning the orange peel!
What a lovely touch by those elephants with extended trunks
Is that rhino calf sticking its tongue out? Very cute!
I love the flying red squirrel! Yaaaay!
The banana leaf tree frog needed to split a little earlier
Oh, and that leopard is a splitting image of me on the dance floor. We are both as bad as each other

Re: Animal pictures of the week
Thanks again LW!
I have high expectations immediately due to these cheetahs :)
Hungary Hippo! That's worse than my humour! What a cutie though
The ibis; "Yoink!"
Seal Pup; "Hello. How you doin?"
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw! This clouded leopard
The cheetah cub is pretty cute too. Is there a furry baby that is not?
Gorilla Boy; "You'd better shape up!"
I am not a big fan of pandas (think they are overated ), but this little one looks pretty cool.
I like the grey owls, and reading the story of the photographer is nice. Outrageous persistence pays off!
And there are WS' snow monkeys!
But this red squirrel really takes the
Cheetahs are still cute at six months :)
A very beautiful picture of the horses in the snow.
A dog kindly feeding tiger cubs
Dewi; "Keep away from my strawberries!"
The stingray pic: Sorry, but my eyes were looking elsewhere
Those thousands of birds make for a beautiful image.

Re: Animal pictures of the week
Another great and interesting selection Littlewid.
But one that makes me is the lion cub and the Pope. Circuses and animals are a complete no no for me.
As for the poor poodles all dressed up - for heavens sake give them some dignity!!!
Thanks Littlewid - I love this thread, as I say every week

Re: Animal pictures of the week
Maisie the goat - how wonderful to see her little pink booties.
The bear and the camera - wow that's some shot and would I be scared about my camera and tripod!
All those poor animals in the snow what a shock for them all although I guess living in zoos it is to be expected.
Thanks Littlewid, as ever an interesting and great selection.

Re: Animal pictures of the week
I loved the Goliath Heron Li, such a funny face and the deer at Petworth is lovely and its just up the raod from me. The little baby Turtle on the big ones head is so cute. I didn't like the lst photo of the Whale catching the seal, not nice
The Giraffe all in a row was brilliant and the snow pictures are lovely but it must be so strange to those animals. I notice one as from Whipsnade and another from London ZSL.

Re: Animal pictures of the week
I'm a little late this week
Yep Lai, that goat looks fashiontastic in those booties; Bella's colour too :)
Instead of saying "cheese", that big furry cameraman would say, "grin and bear it"
The zebra was listening to the bear
Wonderful pics in the snow; snow zebras, snow elephants, snow rhino's But boy, must it be cold in Germany just now In need of some Aussie
The polar bear pics are gorgeous
The background of the frost is even more beautiful than the deer.
Love the little turtley!
Yes LW, Goliath Herron =
The four giraffes take the It's virtually a perfect picture, with them increasing or decreasing in height, plus the greenery and blemish free blue sky
