These photos were taken on a game drive this morning, in which we saw a very big herd of elephants, at Lake Nakuru - near to where the elephant died recently. Very near this we also found a lone Hyena that had just killed a baby Water Buck and was carrying it off. As it did so, it was followed by the herd of water buck, but all they could do was watch as the Hyaena got away.

Some photos taken this morning on a balloon ride and the following safari. Lots of elephants around at the moment and flourishing bird life.https://www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn#!/media/set/?set=a.557143594297866.131654.127029937309236&type=1

These two cheetahs were found today, having just killed a grant gazelle near the air strip. The mother and her 16 month old son killed the gazelle at about 11 o'clock, and were done with it by 12, at which point a big group of vultures who had been waiting patiently for their turn descended on it. The cub will be ready for independance soon and so all hunting lessons from Mum will be invaluable practice for him.

Re: Goveners Camp Masai Mara
Some lovely shots on those three updates, thanks Doogs. I noticed the Elephant in the first lot looked as though its tusks had been trimmed, and there were some great Bird shots amazing long tail on one. Those two leopard Cubs in the second look gorgeous, and it's not very often Cheetahs get as much time as they need to feed, so that was good news

These photos were taken yesterday 9Friday) of Maliaka and her cub. They were found resting under a tree between Private Camp and Main Camp, before jumping up on top of one of the cars. Something many guests have seen before, and was fantastic to watch. Especially for the guests sitting underneath her!
