These wonderful photos were sent to us by Cathy Spear who recently stayed with us at Loldia House. Cathy wrote to us to say My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Loldia House January 2 - 4 of this year. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay there, and highly commend all staff for the wonderful service - always with a smile. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, and we will certainly recommend Loldia House to our friends." Many thanks to Cathy for sharing her photos with us.https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/media/set/?set=a.572121249466767.133201.127029937309236&type=1

Re: Goveners Camp Masai Mara
Just catching up Doogs after the Pub duty. Lovely pics of the Cheetahs in the first link. I wonder with those Vultures around if they had made a kill, and lost it. The Hippo lying underneath the bank, looks as though he's having a lovely dream . Great Owl, and sunset shots as well. Love the Bat Eared Foxs, and the Male lion wrinkly nose shots on the second link

These fabulous photos were sent to us by Nicola Light following her recent safari with us, Nicola and Ed wrote to us to say "Nicola and I are now safely back in UK after a wonderful few days at il Moran. Some amazing highlights including the biggest hail storm anyone can remember, a handsome young leopard out in the open and all to ourselves, a hungry Elephant outside our tent preventing us going to bed, and a cheeky cheetah on jeep roofs!! Thank you so much for everything, and to Patrick & team.'' Many thanks to Nicola and Ed for sharing these with us. Nicola has also written a blog about their safari here is the link http://nicolalightphotography.co.uk/alphabet-project/guildford-surrey-family-photographer-letter-e.htmlhttps://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/media/set/?set=a.575566782455547.1073741827.127029937309236&type=1

We had a tremendous hailstorm last month, which stripped the leaves off the trees. The next morning John photographed this rather bemused Tree Hyrax crossing the car park at reception at Governors Camp. There were a pair of them – moving house!

Great photos of the Cheetahs, and their Cubs love the comments he put on about them climbing the tree. i think the sunrise one with the Cranes is a cracker. Lovelt to see Seina's Cub. I bet the Hyrax wondered what had gone on, but at least they survived
Thanks Doogs

A group of Paradise Pride females started hunting. As this was happening, charging over the hill came a lone buffalo being chased by a pack of Hyenas. As they took it down the Lions turned their attention to the buffalo, and the struggle to kill it went on for over an hour. Eventually the buffalo was killed, but neither party of animals wanted to leave the kill, nor did the 4 lions want to take on the Hyenas and likewise the Hyenas take on the Lions. Intead the 4 female lions took to one side of the buffalo, while some 20 hyenas to the other. Both groups made enough noise to be heard all over the reserve, and as a result more Hyenas came. Still the Lions would not move, and frequently swiped at the Hyenas to keep them at bay.

Re: Goveners Camp Masai Mara
Love that 3rd shot of I presume Scar, and Sienna in the first post Doogs, really brilliant how Scars mane is blowing in the wind.
Thats some stand off 4 Lioness's against 20 Hyena. With that many against them, you would have thought they would have backed off.
