Re: Badger Cull Protest
I don't own a gun either Lai and sadly Nero doesn't look very scary but I would surely stand there and make a nuiscance of myself and make a lot of noise and throw lots of stones around to confuse the shooters, I couldn't just let it happen.

Re: Badger Cull Protest
Mmmmmmmmmmmm I am contemplating what happens next, I might contact the Badger Trust and see what if anything we can do, apart from petitions and letters to MP's etc etc.

Re: Badger Cull Protest
Thank you for that Lai. I am so pleased they have taken the decision to appeal, it is the right way to go.
I have not had time to contact the Badger Trust so far this week but I will do.

Re: Badger Cull Protest
Thats good news. I still cant understand how they can ignore the scientific evidence, that culls are not the long term answer to TB, and spreads the area of TB contamination.

Best news of the day for me that it's the right decision and I am elated by that news. Please let it go the Badgers way this time.

Re: Badger Cull Protest
Doogs, well done to The Badger Trust for standing it's ground, it is a relief to know they wont be (was going to say Badgered ) heckled into quitting their appeal. They really do need to stand firm on this.
Thanks for the link Lai, that has made me smile this evening as it's more determined support for the Badger.

Re: Badger Cull Protest
I'm glad they are still going to appeal. I'm not sure how they can call themselves a Welfare Association when they are clearly not interested in Bagers Welfare, it shows from the comment if the culls fail so be it. No compasion for the Badgers that have been needlesly killed. Thanks for the link Lai.

Re: Badger Cull Protest
WS - there seem to be quite a few petitions so it gets confusing but in my mind if we sign them all we are doing our best.

Re: Badger Cull Protest
Thanks Lai, it would be interesting to know what the other candidates for Police Commissioner views are on the Badger Cull.
Hmmm not sure about the Barf page, seems a bit radical, although I know we need strong action on this issue.

Re: Badger Cull Protest
WS - I thought that, but I was googling as I read on Twitter that someone had signed a declaration refusing entry to their land for badger culling and I was trying to find more info on it.
I like to share all links but I confess I am not an anarchist!

Re: Badger Cull Protest
I did'nt think for one second you were Lai. Interesting that someone has signed a declaration to block access, I wonder what the legal position would be on that if heaven forbid the cull goes ahead.
Lets hope the appeal is granted. I still dont know how DEFRA can defend thier position on the cull, when thier own evidence is against them

At least we now have a date for the appeal. I am going to be keeping my fingers crossed for next Tuesday that the appeal is granted.
