Re: Camera trap photos
Gimpy also successfully raises young buzzards, each year they nest close to our garden and each year we here the young screaching away, they are very noisy demanding little things. They've only just left the nest a few weeks ago, perhaps a second lot I don't know. One of the juveniles was in the woods flying between the trees a few days ago - I really do enjoy our buzzards, especially when they are soaring over the house catching the thermals.
Two trail cams out again in search of the heron, fox or even badger

Watch out Lai, you could be catching me on your trail cam pitching my tent ready to sit and watch all the wildlife in your garden and catch a glimpse of Gimpy and his brood
How lovely that he raises young and just lives a normal buzzards life to the full......Good on Gimpy

Re: Camera trap photos
We catch a glimpse of Buzzards on the thermals all around here, but unfortunately none have nested near by. Really wish they would, I've only ever been able to get a couple of shots of a Buzzard, and thats where we used to live. It actualy landed in our garden, and I was upstairs, and saw it through the window. I took a couple of shots, but they were'nt very good, I only had a small Digicam at the time .
Great that Gimpy's doing such a great job, and bringing up the young Lai

Now you'll be ready WS with your new camera. You never know when you might see the buzzards, they've made such an amazing come back recently.

Doogs.
No sorry i am suffering from a bad bout of something and can't eat or keep anything in me so feel like a wet lettuce, may have to visit the doctor as it's a rather extreme way of losing weight! Been bad since Sunday night so trail cams sitting in the utility room waiting to be put out.

Re: Camera trap photos
That sounds nasty Lai. Best get yourself to the Docs thats to long to go, without getting something inside you, and keeping it there. Make sure you keep hydrated. You can get Dyrolite Sachets from the Chemists that keep you hydrated, and put essential minerals in your body, they also settle your tummy.
Hope you feel better soon. Mind you one plus is that lettuce is good for .
See Doogs good with tummys, but still messing with heads

Re: Camera trap photos
WS - true about the lettuce. Thanks for the advice, i've been taking rehydrate things every day, and eating the odd rice cake, blueberry and probiotic yoghurt. Not too bad today, so hoping it's on the way out, so to speak If not a visit to the Dr on Monday for sure.
Will get the trail cams out later, the herons were on the lawn again last night!

Re: Camera trap photos
I hope you are feeling better Lai thats a long time for a tummy bug to be going on but then again the ones that are round just lately do seem to go on for longer than normal. Hopefully by today you are feeling much better and yes if it's still going on tomorrow, a trip to the Dr's is in order, fingers crossed you will be better though.

Re: Camera trap photos
Thanks Littlewid - i'm fine now, lost 4 lbs and happy with that, extreme I know Seriously I'm eating light meals and being healthy so a big + it must have just been a 48 hour bug that lasted more than 48 hours!
The trail cams are out and i'll collect them later, I was hoping for herons last night, so we'll see.

Re: Camera trap photos
A fleeting shot - the light must have spooked the heron whilst recording.
Night time visit of a fox
All the rest were bunnies and during the day crows, although one of the p'fers ran through at 100 mph

Re: Camera trap photos
Nice to see the Heron & the Fox Lai, funny the Fox seemed to spook at the end as well as the Heron. Perhaps they heard the p'fer coming at 100mph, and did'nt want to get run over

Re: Camera trap photos
I would have posted the P'fer clip WS but no joke it was so fast I had to watch it twice like a little road runner!
Lai
will put the trail cams out again tonight, I can't during the day due to birds, bunnies and people!
