What a lovely picture PPH, it looks as if it has posed especially for the picture. It would be wonderful to be able to get a shot of them both but as you have said before, Robins are teritorial.
I had my little blackbird visit me this morning, everyone else must have come whilst I was at work, the feeder has taken a real bashing this morning and we did actually get a little snow this morning.......as well as a powercut, so I was late it is definiatly getting colder so the little birds need a constant top up at the moment.

Great photo PPH - and a lovely lot of mealworms there for them all.
Definitely getting colder today, a few tiny flakes of snow, all gone again thankfully. The birds are definitely the ones to let us know when the weather is changing.
They had some grated cheese, some rice and some pear today - all our lovely leftovers but they whole lot went in a matter of hours.

Re: Our Feeding Stations :):)
I had just filled up the tray when the robin arrived. lots of mealworms and some mixed fruit and sultanas. It has been so busy on my feeder and I won't be able to do it for a few days that I decided to really fill it up so it doesnt run out. There are also some mixed seeds in there aswell
It would be great to get a picture of the both of them together but they have a truce where they take it in turns. I know this is a regular visitor as on the other side of him he has a single white fluffy feather that always sticks up. Which makes me think he is a juvenile as the feather is very much like a down feather

I wonder if thats why a truce has ben set up PPh, maybe the other Robin knows this is a younger bird.

Re: Our Feeding Stations :):)
Just thought of some names for him PPH. The obvious one is Flash, but as he's a Robin, and your Reliant on him coming to the feeder. You could call him Del Boy, or if he's a young one Rodny

Re: Our Feeding Stations :):)
that is a great name for him
better than skinny robin and fat robin for the other one

Found out today while doing Garden Watch we have 2 Robins as well. They were both in together, ans sitting on the fence side by side, so obviously Male, and Female. What to call them I came up with two choices.
Fatman & Robyn or Del Boy & Cassandra. What do you reckon Guys

we have a cheeky little Robin who visits too - just the one, so I guess he could be uncle Albert?

Re: Our Feeding Stations :):)
We've got another Robin here now trying to muscle in on Rufus (who pushed out Rudy). Seems this is prime territory! This new chap is called Rocky and as you can see from yesterday's photos, he's set up an ambush point just above the fence from which to attack when Rufus is feeding. He was playing peek-a-boo every time I lifted my lens.
Some others from yesterday included to add a bit of colour... (I've given up with my auto focus and I'm now shooting fully manual. Bit of trial and error, but I think the results are a bit better - although Wanda was some distance away)

Those are great TT Love the story line I've only got a cheap Digital Camera, but like you say the Auto Focus is a bit of a pain, it's handy when you see something, and need to take a quick shot, but now you've suggested it I think I will try some manual shots

Thanks chaps. Hot off the camera... we have just had a 30 second invasion of Goldfinches. I only managed to shoot off one image before they took off again. Note the colouration of the ones at the bottom of the pic and the gorgeous face on the one at the top right.
