Meet WS's Birds
After looking at the BBC's Garden Bird site I posted in PPH's Our Feeding Stations. I decided to see if I can get a photographic record of the diffent species of Birds that visit us. So here goes with the first few
The Chaffinch
The Blue Tit
The Female Great Tit
The Long Tailed Tit

A brilliant thread WS, Love this one. I really like that little Chaffinch too, he is gorgeous, they are so cute looking, all fluffy and puffed up, a pretty little bird I think.
I too look forward to seeing all your different visitors.

I especially love the Pied Wagtail WS - they are such funny little birds, always so inquisitive and don't seem to be that shy - he does look a little cold there doesnt he?

Your little visitors are so gorgeous but they also know where they are well off don't they They must be so ammusing to watch and give hours of pleasure.

I do like Doves WS, they seem to ooze serenity I think and they look such soft birds. Love the picture, you still have a lot of ice around don't you.

Re: Meet WS's Birds
they are great pictures. I am having lots of trouble getting pictures of my little birds. they are just so fast and don't stay around long enough. I was thinking of maybe getting one of those motion activated cameras that you see the wildlife photographers use. I could leave it running while at I'm at work and see the results when I get home

Re: Meet WS's Birds
That's an idea PPH - sometimes I have to be very patient to get photos and often I am way too slow!

Re: Meet WS's Birds
It's strange Lai, we used to have loads where we were before, which is about 7 miles away. Here though we hardly see any, I'm wondering if it's because of the area. There were lots of houses where we were, a bit more urban, now we are on a farm, and its more Rural. So I'm thinking do they keep more to Urban areas.

Re: Meet WS's Birds
Good thinking WS - you could be right. A few years ago we used to see a few but recently I've not seen any which is a shame.

Re: Meet WS's Birds
We have lots of Starlings here WS, maybe it's because we are semi rural. They are the ones who are always on my feeder but they do grab the food. I haven't seen many little birds, we seem to have the Starlings, Blackbirds, magpies, Seagull and a few Pigeons. I have seen a Robin and I am feeding food that Robins like in the hope he will reappear. I actualy love that photo, its a kind of silohette (sorry spelling is dire thats deffo not right )
