Spring Watch have an Easter Special on BBC2 @ 9PM on 22nd April ( Good Friday ).

The new series of Spring Watch then commences on 30th May on BBC2

Fantastic news. Thanks for letting us know Littlewid. I still think it's a shame Simon King isn't involved but he is busy with Wildlife Whisperer. Having said that Chris Packham is just great and really makes me laugh.

Thanks LW really looking forward to that. I cant help thinking that 30th May is a bit late, Spring Watch seems to have been on later the last couple of years.

It does WS, I suppose that is because they want to see the birds fledging and more activity now than in the early days when it was all a bit more random.

It will be more like summerwatch - I still think that would be good as well as winterwatch Very Happy

It is a bit late isn't it, as you say it will nearly be summer, still at least it is something to look forward too and as PPH says, there is lambing live which is fantastic, all those gorgeous lambs to see, i'm loving it.

looking forward to the Easter special, thanks PPH. It will be good to see Bill Oddie again, all we need is Simon King but he is in Kenya with Sheba the cheetah.

Sorry guy's, when I read this on the web originally it said Good Friday, but the Easter Special is on tomorrow night EASTER MONDAY 8pm - 9pm on BBC2.

I really enjoyed Springwatch last night, although I still think the series is a little late. Its amazing how far the small Birds like the Warblers fly to get here. I wont say anymore in case people have'nt watched it
