Some more Web Cam photos from this morning
I thought the heron was going to fledge then
The Buzzard chick is starting to break its food up its self
The Redstarts parents are really whizzing in, and out with food
How many more to fledge Woodpeckers can have between 5 to 7 eggs

So thats what BGT is. I bet LW would have known
Some more photo's from the Web Cams, around 6-00am this morning
Looks good up till now as long as we dont get any bad weather
The Oyster Catchers are still incubating, but there is some concern that the Male has a limp
The Redstarts family should fledge in the next two days. Chris Packham's going for Thursday
and finaly the 3rd Woodpecker refuses to leave Home

Re: BBC Springwatch 2011
Thanks WS. I caught up with it last night. Great programme and some wonderful new cams. I love seeing the Woodpeckers and the Buzzards (although not keen on what is being fed to the chick), and a real favourite of mine is to see badgers.
Ynys-hir looks a wonderful reserve - great to have a new venue for Springwatch.

Re: BBC Springwatch 2011
Ian is away tonight so I've recorded SW after watching it the past two nights. Non animal related but I'm liking the fact that both Martin & Chris have had their 'bonces' cut, they look a million times better
Great 'cams' as usual, especially loved seeing the woodpeckers and the barn owls.
Loving Charlie Hamilton James's reports of the Beavers in the Knapdale Forest. These little ones are incredibly cute and fascinating to watch, delighted that they have returned to the UK

Re: BBC Springwatch 2011
I agree Doogs re the hair cuts!
Charlie's report on the beavers was wonderful, and so lovely to see them, although of course their release is controversial it will be interesting to see what happens, hoping they become a permanent feature in Knapdale.
All the cams are just great, so amazing to see different birds and species.

Re: BBC Springwatch 2011
Loving all the pics from the cams Not seen one episode yet of SW got them all recorded. My evenings are spent with my lot and little Reggie, he needs lots of handling to keep him settled and happy being handled, so I need a big SW catch up.....feel a day off work coming up (A/L that is not a sickie )
Yep, new what BGT is......not watching it either.....I do like it but the animals are winning in the evenings......and here as well of course

Re: BBC Springwatch 2011
All caught up with Springwatch and very much enjoyed this weeks programmes. I must confess to recording BGT but think it's been rubbish this year. It's great when you can record and hour and a half programme then watch it in 10/15 mins !!!
Especially enjoyed the Beavers this week and there was some great live footage at the end of last nights programme.
Roll on next week . . . . .

I thought Charlie was brilliant last night with the live pictures of the Beavers, it will be really interesting to see how the Beaver trial pans out. Cant get on the Web Cams untill I get my PC back, its really frustrating

Funny how different people view things,I find this is getting more and more cheesey,Kate and the Beaver bloke really are trying too hard and failing.Chris Packham is the only reason I'm still watching as he does actually know what he's talking about.

Re: BBC Springwatch 2011
I confess I was going to be a bit harsh on Springwatch.
I used to love it, it was far more random, lots of webcams, sometimes you saw things, sometimes you didn't (badgers specifically), presenters come and go I know but I am a great fan of Simon King and miss his input and knowledge. I agree TB, Chris Packham I enjoy a lot, Kate is too over the top for me and Martin drives me to despair! Although I enjoyed Charlie and the beaver story and found it really interesting and informative, it dominated most of the weeks' programme so much so that we hardly saw any of the other wonderful cams.
I realise they have to change the format, or thought they did but somehow it's lost some of it's magic for me.

Re: BBC Springwatch 2011
As you say TB, people have different views which is quite right. Chris does really know his stuff, but to us he comes across as a bit smarmy, and a know it all. Alot of the silly, and gimiky stuff started when he joined the programe, like the mad proffesor, and Kate started being all giggly, so much so that Mrs S, and a few of my friends have stopped watching it. There were bits of cartoon in Thursday nights show that were in his Animals Guide to Britain, that was interesting Animal wise, but again to gimiky. Springwatch does'nt need that type of thing, yes we need to know facts about the Animals, but it needs to come across in a better way, and why Martins in it I dont know, just a waste of programe time that as SM says could be given over to more on the Web Cams. It's no where near as good as it was with Simon, and Oddy
