REKERO AND ASILIA IN PARTNERSHIP
Rekero Camp and Asilia have entered into a partnership to jointly develop a new camp in the Naibosho Conservancy, a newly formed conservancy directly bordering the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. As a result of this partnership, both the existing Rekero Camp and the new 8-tented seasonal camp called Naibosho Camp will be marketed and booked through Asilia.
Quick facts:
• Rekero and Asilia will open a new 8-tented seasonal camp called Naibosho Camp in the newly formed Naibosho Conservancy bordering the Maasai Mara GR and the OOC conservancy as per June 1, 2011. Highlights of the new camp:
o Guest tents are similar to Rekero Camp: spacious tents, comfortable beds, verandas, flush toilets and safari showers
o Activities include day and night driving, bush walks, fly camping, cultural visits (local villages and trading centers)
o Rekero style hosting, guiding and quality of food and service
• Both Naibosho Camp and Rekero Camp will become part of Asilia for all marketing / sales / bookings / invoicing. Naibosho Camp can be booked through Asilia’s bookings office as per October 18, 2010. Rekero Camp will be booked through Bush & Beyond until November 30, with Asilia taking over as per December 1, 2010. Rates for Naibosho Camp will follow shortly; all existing rates for Rekero Camp for 2010 and 2011 will be honoured. Bush & Beyond will continue to book Rekero as a preferred ground handler.
• Gerard, Jackson, Dudu and Jono will continue to manage and host Rekero Camp. Together, they will spearhead the Naibosho project
• Gordie Owles will take on the Marketing Manager role for Asilia
For any questions, please contact Bas Hochstenbach (Commercial Director) at bas@asiliaafrica.com, Gordie Owles (Marketing Manager) at gordie@asiliaafrica.com

Re: Rekero - News and Community
Hmmm I thought that, although in the past there have been different names for some of our Big Cat favourites

Re: Rekero - News and Community
It's all a bit confusing with all the changes going on as well, and so perhaps they use different names?
How on earth are we ever going to keep up with all this Mara news

I know, it's most confusing
That's the first time I've heard the name Naleko before and I presume they mean it's Bahati ?

Re: Rekero - News and Community
If anyone has the time or can get their head around it, may be a list of the alternate names for our favourite big cats would be helpful.
