I totally agree WS. After seeing the pics I was amazed how good he looked. It sounded like there was one heck of a fight! Goes to show how tough these boys are. Hopefully he'll meet back up with Clawed and at least have some help. I know they're both older now but two is still more intimidating than one and they don't need any more trouble at this point.

Like you Doogs I said the same to WS, as a body hadn't been found I too was hoping he was still alive and Romeo has proved us right. What absolute Romeo and Clawed are and yep, it would be wonderful if they could find each other, I only wonder if they do, would the 4 muskateers then see them as a threat and chase them off again, so I hope if they do find each other they keep out of trouble but for now........what a fantastic day it has been to hear this news

Lots of controversy over this report, it seems that it may not be Romeo after all - Doogs may be able to update on this better.

Oh no, that would be so disappointing and sad if it's not Romeo. The saga for these to boys is never ending.
Fingers crossed Doogs can shed more light on this for us all......please let it be Romeo.

I would have thought Jackson would have known Romeo well enough to have identified him. I really hope he's right

I agree WS, I would think if anyone knew who they were looking at it would be Jackson, but everyone can make mistakes. I just hope this isn't one of them. It would too big of a rollercoaster ride to think he's ok after pretty much giving up hope and then find out it was a mistake. I'm pulling for Romeo!

The confusion seems to be, that after comparing previous photos taken of Romeo prior to the take over, one of them by Doogs which was taken just before, to the one taken by Jackson, they dont think they match up. I suppose that Romeos facial features could have changed with the beating he took. I suppose we'll just have to wait for confirmation, but I'm rooting for Romeo as well

Lets hope that really does support the sighting of Romeo WS. I agree that Romeo's features could have changed as they were both pretty badly beaten up but unless there is another male Lion in the area the same age as Romeo and Clawed it has to be Romeo.

Hey LW, I agree. From what I could gather there was a fierce fight, 2 on 4 and our two both may still be alive to tell the tale. The simple fact that they stood and fought tells of their lion spirit, and if in fact, both are still with us they fought well. They didn't run when they could have. I've gotta go with Jackson on this one until proven otherwise. As stated earlier, He,if anyone, would know who he was looking at. At least I really hope so.

I think we'll have to wait for news on this - it would be wonderful to think both Romeo and Clawed are alive and doing well but they were both badly injured. I know Jackson knows his stuff so I'm with you all on this hoping and praying that it is Romeo and we'll get more news.

Ok got message from Governors Camp guide This is NOT ROMEO, Jonathan Scott was with guide at the time & he said he has,nt seen this Male before. Clawed is not with the 4 Mus. Guide says he has not seen Clawed or Romeo lately . He called Vet to come to treat Scaface as of today Vet has not come yet.

There really seems to be some confusion at the moment, but if Jonethan Scott was there, then it would seem like this is not Romeo, as he would certainly know if it was Romeo or not, which is a shame after we built our hopes up

It really is a case of O' Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? and now it looks as though it's not Clawed that has been feeding with the 4 Muskateers. This is all so disappointing and heartbreaking all over again. But with all the hope it has been Romeo and it was Clawed feeding with the 4, it goes to show how much love there is for those two boys.

My understanding was, that is was Clawed on the 16th but naturally he has not stayed around. If it wasn't Clawed it sure looked like him.

That was the reports we had Peter, and from the photos I agree, it certainly did look like Clawed, with the mange, but evrything seems to become confused. Hopefully it will sort its self out

Hello everyone, I sent Jackson a message on FB and asked if he was positive about Romeo. I got a two word response, "It's Him".
That sounds like he's sure about who he saw, and he took those pics. I hope we can hear some more updates to further confirm, but he has no doubt.

Thats brilliant, thanks for doing that. As we both said before, if it was Jackson who took the photos himself you would think he would know Romeo after the number of times he's seen him. For me that means it's Romeo, unless someone can come up with conclusive proof it's not

Brilliant Ronnie for messaging Jackson, I have also commented on Jacksons Blog thread.

Peter I agree there is so much confusiion at the moment with Clawed and Romeo. The sighting of Clawed on the 16th was so positive then came the report it wasn't him. I think Lai is right that some of the drivers are not so good at ID-ing some of the cats. Hopefully Jackson or Jonathan will get another sighting of Clawed soon and re-confirm it was him.
