Not sure if Kike was Honey's Mum Ghost, perhaps one to ask Pepe on J & As Blog, or I could ask if you want. I did find a list of BCD's Big Cats family tree sometime ago, I posted it on this link

A book worth buying when it comes out, I am sure it will answer many of our questions.

Hi Everyone – just finished the new edition of The Leopard’s Tale which will be published in August 2013 – just in time for the annual UK Bird Fair at Rutland Water (16th to 18th Aug 2013). We will be speaking at that event and showing our images – and signing copies of TLT too! Look forward to catching up with you then. Best from us both – Jonathan and Angie
The Leopard’s Tale
featuring Half-Tail and Zawadi, stars of Big Cat Diary
By Jonathan Scott and Angela Scott
New edition coming soon: July 2013.
Paperback, 240 pages
16pp colour 2 maps
Published: July 2013
ISBN: 9781841624792
Format: 198mm x 130mm
Status: Not yet published
Almost everyone on safari hopes for a glimpse of the charismatic and elusive leopard. Chui was the first of a new generation of leopards Jonathan Scott watched and photographed in Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve in the 1970s and 1980s. He spent every available moment watching and photographing Chui and her cubs, Light and Dark, aware that he was only privileged to do so for as long as they chose to remain visible. His classic account tells the story of the mother leopard as a solitary hunter providing for herself and her offspring. He records encounters with baboon, hyaena and man, hazards facing the cubs as they learn to fend for themselves and periods of play and relaxation. Some years after Chui disappeared, a young female appeared, Half-Tail. Jonathan and Angela have followed her and her daughter Zawadi, stars of the BBC’s Big Cat Diary, for the past twenty years, bringing the story up to date. Nobody has studied leopards more closely or known them more intimately
Jonathan says: ‘The update is based on our work with Half-Tail and Zawadi from both the pictures and text perspective – Angie worked with us on Big Cat Diary as the stills photographer from 1996 and before that we both worked with Half-Tail from the time she first appeared around Leopard Gorge and Fig Tree Ridge – our kids grew up on safari with Half-Tail and Zawadi as stars of their own Mara adventures.’

Re: Zawadi (aka Shadow)
Kitchete Camp also doesn't seem to update any information on Shadow/Zawadi anymore. They seem to focus on a leopard named Acacia on their page on FB

I think we have to accept the Zawadi/Shadow has left us, it's far to long since she was seen for her to be still alive

Re: Zawadi (aka Shadow)
I found a page on facebook and confirmed a leopard who is believed to be a daughter of Zawadi. She occupies Leopard George just like her mom and grandmother did. Here is a link of her and the person who follows her https://m.facebook.com/home.php?_mn_=2&refsrc=http%3A%2F%2Fm.facebook.com%2Fhome.php&refid=8&_rdr#!/kunalbidwildlifephotography?ref=stream&__user=100001021526800

Brilliant find Ghost. I did'nt think it would be Zawadis daughter, but it's great to find pout it is. I'm having the same problem as Doogs, I tried it last night, and also tonight, but the link takes me to my own FB page, if you look at the link it has home page in it.

Re: Zawadi (aka Shadow)
The page on FB is Kunal Bid Wildlife Photography, he posts regularly on Mara North Convergency FB page. There is a picture of a female leopard in Leopard Gorge, and Kunal himself confirmed that she is Zawadi/Shadows daughter. I also believe Jackson.L posted a picture of a female leopard residing in Leopard Gorge, and said she is Zawadi's Daughter.

Re: Zawadi (aka Shadow)
I've found the link, but I'm not sure which Leopard shot is of Zawadis/Shadows daughter ?.
Some great photography though
https://www.facebook.com/kunalbidwildlifephotography
This is Mara North Conservancy FB link, but again I cant find a mention by Kunal of Zawadis/Shadows daughter, although I did see a photo of Zawadi from 2012 around the time she had her injured leg, before she vanished

Re: Zawadi (aka Shadow)
I have been just looking at the Mara North Conservancy FB page and came across a set of photos by Paul Goldstein which includes a photo of a leopard called Nelangu who is Zawadi's 4 year old daughter. The markings of this leopard are identical to the leopard I saw and photographed on my last trip to Mara North in December. Therefore I assume the leopard in my postings on the Members Safari Trip thread titled Leopard's Tale parts 1 2 & 3 must be Zawadi's daughter Nelangu. Paul GoldStein's photos are also on the Kicheche Camps FB page as well. I have included a couple of my original photos below.

News!
My parents were in the Mara this year, while I was training in South Africa. They were told what happened to her.
They stayed at the royal Mara where we have seen her many times, even a kill in the tree outside our room/tent.
After a successful hunt she was killed by lions, her territory is now taken over by a male we learned was her son.
it's horrible to hear the truth though we no longer need to worry.

Re: Zawadi (aka Shadow)
Another beautiful leopard in her older years that lost her life to lions (referring to Olive), as much as I love lions I don't like them killing our leopards
Thanks for letting us know Trackerintraining86, good to know the truth. If anyone is going to take over her territory I'm glad it's her son.

Re: Zawadi (aka Shadow)
I am in international wildlife biology student in wales, and I've been going to Africa for 12 years
Mainly Kenya, but I've done research and tracking in South Africa on two occasions, 10 weeks in 2010 and 4 weeks this year, I chose the name as I wish to train properly in Kenya, I really love it, I was told I was a natural lol.
Thanx for the welcome and the interest.

Re: Zawadi (aka Shadow)
Me personally no, but I will have to ask the parents, they know soooo many people,
We need good contacts all over as we are a start up aid charity. They even know the minister of Medicine personally.
