Thingys In The Sky
This thread is for photos and conversation about the wonders that astound us when we look up. Whether it be the moon, sun, stars, rainbows or anything else high above us, feel free to post. But although this is a 'Sky' thread, please no photos of Bradley Wiggins

Great idea GR, although if I were you, I'd put a disclaimer in that your not responsible for anyone tripping over while walking around looking upwards

This is not a great pic (taken from Melbourne's Botanical Gardens), but I think this thread can also be of sky sights that assist the appearance of other things in a picture, so sunsets in the background and so forth. Also, I completely forgot about clouds! And they can be varied and provide interesting imagery.

Re: Thingys In The Sky
Are you a union man? I would have to acknowledge that compared to that Australian Rules is a little Netballish.
But when you think about it, those scrums are really just one big

Re: Thingys In The Sky
Great shot of the Parrots LW.
Well thats charming GR "Finally, this thread has a photo to be proud of "
You take a pic in the lovely warmth of OZ in a Botanicle Garden. LW takes one in the middle of our glorious Summer here in the UK, and I spend hours lying on my back on cold wet grass in the middle of winter in the Snowdonia Mountain Range waiting for a Jet Plane to fly between two trees against a dark cloud background, getting soaked and freezing to death, and you say Finaly a photo to be proud of.

Phew!
And I should remember that it's LW who is the Michaelangelo of photographers around here :)
WS, in basketball parlance, you sound as if you are a part of the harlem globetrotters camera team. Taking shots behind your back, over your head, and so forth

Re: Thingys In The Sky
You have to watch WS GR he is a HUGE wind up Merchant and he got ya a goodun there
Glad you liked the Parrot shot, it's not a brilliant one as they were flying so fast and as soon as I managed to get them they were gone, so trying to focus on them and get a clearer pic was not easy......I need loads more practice with my camera but that shot came from my day at Whipsnade Zoo that I posted in the camera club section, but Lai, Doogs, Safariman and even WS are far better photographers than me.....i'm a baby in the learning process

Re: Thingys In The Sky
Just remember that I am still a little wet behind the ears on this forum. Just a pup. Though it must be said that I can be a little naive in life too, so I'm sure that WS will be getting me good plenty more times in the future
A wind up merchant hey? So I am thinking that WS is like an old watch. But nuh uh. This one is too easy. WS is...
a Grandfather Clock!
You talk yourself down too much LW. Even if you are a 'baby' in the photography stakes, you must been one of those 'prodogies' then :)
