Re: Decorah Eagles
I should have known you guys would have already found this! I just found out about it on FB. I was told the eggs were due to hatch in about two weeks, so time to start checking in pretty often.

Re: Decorah Eagles
A couple of more Pics from the Web Cam.
It was quite windy there today, you can hear it on the Web Cam
In 2011 the first egg was laid on the 23/2/2011, and hatched on the 2/4/2011, which is 38 days. This year the first egg was laid on the 17/2/2012 so it should have hatched by now, but it has'nt I just got a shot of all three eggs, as she got up to move around the nest.

Re: Decorah Eagles
It looks as though the Male is really looking after her, there was a small Bird left at the side of the nest, and although she had a couple of pecks, she clearly was'nt hungry.
She left it, and moved on the nest, I could just get a glimpse of an Egg
Then a while later, she got up completely, and all 3 came into view

Re: Decorah Eagles
I think the Eagles are taking it in turns on the nest. I was watching the cam tonight, and the Eagle on the nest cried out, a couple of minutes later it got up, and left the nest
It went off to the right on the picture
Then the next second an Eagle appeared from the left, and settled on the eggs
The eggs are due to hatch between the 23rd March, and the 25th March

Re: Decorah Eagles
You could be right Doogs
Now is that a Woodpecker tapping ?
Or is it coming from one of the Eggs
2 Days left to the first hatching date

She's certainly keeping her eye on those eggs - no chance of one of them disappearing !!
