Well done WS cheers that is the first time the mum has been seen, what a capture. You know the mum has to be around because the chicks are doing so well but its worrying when you never see her, so what a relief that picture is, she must be a late night visitor.

That unmistakable white face is more prominent now. Mum and Dad have the right idea with this brood. Sit outside and pop in to feed them!

They are changing LW you can see it as they spread their wings, that the feathers are coming through. I was really annoyed I'd just clicked the camera of when on the Web Cam the Mother suddenly came in with food it would have been a great shot Grrrrr

Isn't that always the way WS, it's so annoying, never mind though, at least you have managed to get a shot of the mum coming in. I'm goin gto try and have a peek later at them and see how they are doing, they are changing so quick now.

Well I had a look as promised and at first I thought it was mum in the entrance but its a chick balancing up there, I hope it stays safe, their feathers are coming in but its not ready to leave the nest yet, lets hope mum comes soon, they are very noisy again this evening and it must be getting near to the time when mum drops in with some food.

There are two that are bigger than the third one but also one of the two is the largest and that is probably the one WS.....and now we know why.

Your right LW I just caught a bit of argy bargy as Guts got some food, and the others did'nt
Barn Owl Cam - Page 2 Barn18
Now you can see the difference Beachball's at the front, Footballs in the middle, and Tennisballs at the back
Barn Owl Cam - Page 2 Barn112

The Mothers just dropped some more food in thats 3 times in the last 1/2 Hr but its the first time I managed to snap it. Guess who got it Beachball lol!
Barn Owl Cam - Page 2 Barn210
I've just had another quick look, and Footballs now got up in the opening, It must be a takeover bid

Great names and great commentary WS - and i hope Beachball occasionally lets Tennis ball have some. I remember Springwatch or was it Autumnwatch when some pretty unpleasant things happened with the chicks affraid and they caught it on camera affraid

Oh I didn't see that Lai and I hope we don't here as it doesnt sound good.
Loving the names WS and they are so fitting to them, just brilliant, I think beachball has been getting the food for a long time now and tennis ball not far behind, I feel sorry for tennis ball and hope he doesnt become a ping pong ball !!!!
