Re: Melbourne Zoo 2013!
GR, thank you for the story and the pics! Do you have any photos of the baby elephant and the hippos?
It took hours of research work to find out the names of the leopards, so I am happy that you could confirm that I was right.

Re: Melbourne Zoo 2013!
Lai (leopard function room). Talk about false advertising!
Because when you say that something is about a leopard it should be; unless there are leopards that can in fact change their spots
Oh no! I know what I should have done as something humouress and co-productive. I ought to create cards advertising WAA, and this I could have handed to the zoo keeper! We need more members
"There is a home for you rabbit." Wow, what an introduction!
Perhaps it is just this 'sub' species of bongo that the Melbourne Zoo are talking about then, and not bongos as a whole
Bongos, like leopards, are very reclusive
And yes, they have a great tongue, so like a giraffe I suppose. So its a cross between a leopard and giraffe obviously
CC, thanks for asking about the ele and hippo; I will get onto more postings. Computer was running rather slow on pic uploads last night.

Re: Melbourne Zoo 2013!
Swearing at the laptop worked - sometimes it's good for emphasis - but only briefly
Lai, that first new pic is of a coati, a small catish creature that resides in Central America. They are interesting characters, as they seem to have a bit of a cheeky personality like the meerkat (or Jack Russell ) and they are constantly on the move. Only that makes it difficult to take happy snaps.
Especially on my camera as you have to hold the button down and wait a few seconds. "Don't move, don't move, oh !"

Re: Melbourne Zoo 2013!
At least posting in short pic amounts will dramtically increase in posting numbers. It's cheating and performance enhancing. Right on cue with the commencement of the Giro cycling event
I will have a lot to answer to to the when I soon take over Mrs Kipia's lead in WAA posts

Re: Melbourne Zoo 2013!
Just had a lovely time catching up on your visit and all the glorious pics GR. The ele pics are just so beautiful and gave me so many smirks but I also loved the Tiger ones, my favourite big cat indeedy......pinching your sayings now
I did have a good laugh about you mowing down old ladies and children, that was so funny, you sound like me when im on a mission, nothing is getting in my way
Shame about the hat, usually there are adult hats as well, never mind. How brilliant that you had the whole experience to yourself, that must have been amazing but a shame no-one else wanted to have a Bongo experience, poor fellow.
Brilliant that you persevered to get your pics on, i'm really pleased you did as they are wonderful and I will be checking them out again as they are lovely.
Mmmmmm over take Lai on the rabbiting, I think not, our chief rabbiter will not give up her position that easily, she has rabbited hard for it and I reckon she will continue to give us all a run for our money
If you have any more pics I would love to see them

Snookum bears are a very cute little creature!
You are right gals; no way that I will ever run down that ele rabbit
Glad you are liking the pics! I take a lot of them, posting what I hope are goodish ones! With the bongo encounter I could not take photos, but they had a photographer there snapping away; all a part of money making really. I forked out $30 for three photos. They are pretty good, but would rather have just paid $50 to get the 50 or so she took sent to me via email!
Pinching anyones saying is a grand compliment indeedy
And if they get used enough then one can even forget where they came from, and it doesn't realy matter, just that it is a positive term or phrase.

Re: Melbourne Zoo 2013!
Internet is rubbish again tonight so not going to fight it (refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh....). Going offline and doing some story writing. I am at my folkies tomorrow night (not normally a Wednesday but my brother will be over too ) so maybe more pics will be uploaded Thursday. They are just sitting here waiting to make their mark!

The Internet can be a real GR, our friends over in Sydney are having problems as well, especialy when Skyping.
some really great shots GR. To be honest I'm spoiled for choice for a WAA Frame Award, so I've gone multiple, and there may be more to come
First Award. As Tigers are my favourite Big Cat
Second for Cuteness
Third for Dedication to
